The guy is an absolute waste of a wage. I've been watching him fail to achieve anything at all ever since he arrived, even Bielsa appears incapable of improving him - no energy, no urgency, no originality, no threat, no goals.

I wish I felt differently but I groan every time he comes on.

Completely agree, he has very few redeeming features to his game, does show the odd flash of ability but far too inconsistent. He also seems to have a knack for giving away free kicks in dangerous areas when trying to defend.

Have to agree in regards Costa's defending its woeful and it nearly always does result in a dangerous freekick. He's obviously a confidence player but he's never got beyond level 1 for us unfortunately.

Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United travel to the Johan Cruyff Arena on Wednesday evening, to take on Erik ten Hag’s Ajax (7:15pm).

Ajax will prove a tough test for Leeds, after picking up two draws against strong opponents in the form of Bayern Munich (2-2) and RB Leipzig (1-1).

This fast start to pre-season from the Eredivisie Champions seems to be great preparation in repeating and maybe even improving upon many of their triumphs from last year, which also saw them reach the quarter finals of the Europa League.

The game is set to take place at the Johan Cruyff Arena, where Leeds will play in front of around 25,000 fans - which will make it their largest crowd in over 18 months. No away fans due to covid reasons

Not surprised this is literally a reserve team we are playing against with no real 1st teamers in it.

Whereas we have players like Poveda, Roberts, Cooper, Costa, Forshaw in ours and we are getting outclassed.

Friendly results arent important but the performance matters.
