Re: Junior Firpo - DEAL CLOSE
Perhaps we could get Barca to throw in Moriba as well.
We could let them have Forshaw if it sweetens the deal.

Re: Junior Firpo - WELCOME TO LUFC
There is no doubt he will be a major addition. The fact that we finished where we did without a recognised left back was amazing. Now that’s sorted we already are a stronger team. If he goes on to really shine then it will be a master stroke by Orta again.

Re: Junior Firpo - WELCOME TO LUFC
Bit expensive for a full back, but expect Bielsa to get the best out of him and double his value soon. He must be the first player from the Dominican Republic to play in the PL. Although it's not really a football country, more baseball.

Re: Junior Firpo - WELCOME TO LUFC
Interesting to hear the assessments of Firpo from those who've followed him since his Betis days. In a nutshell, average (heard described as mid-table Prem-standard) defensive skills but much better going forward. As it stands, it sounds like he's maybe a touch above Alioski in the offensive department but a like-for-like in the defensive.
However, the prevailing opinion seems to be that Bielsa will be able to improve him to far beyond his current level. His attitude, work rate and dedication are unquestioned. Like Raphinha, judging by his interviews and testimonials from previous coaches he wants to be the best footballer he can be.

Re: Junior Firpo - WELCOME TO LUFC
Full back has sort of become the new best way of improving a team by getting fullbacks that essentially operate as both full back and winger to create overlaps.
