200/1

Post by Bally »

With Ladbrokes Leeds are 200\1 to win the league ahead of Everton,Burnley and Southampton who had a great finish to the season and they are 1000\1 surely Leeds should be a higher price than that its not as if we've made any signings yet?

Odds aren’t solely based on how likely it is that an event will happen. They will always be adjusted down if a lot of people back a certain team.

On the Friday that we went up, one of the main bookies were offering 750/1 a couple of hours after West Brom lost to Huddersfield. Within about 12-24hrs it was down to about 250/1. Simply because a large number of people were backing it.

Difficult to look beyond Liverpool & Man City for the premiership title

Keep ones money in your pocket is my sound advice

2019/20 season was the opportunity to have your money on Leeds

For a team that just got promoted that's fairly tight. Remember Leicester were 5000/1 when they won it.

I got 250/1 to win the League and 16/1 for us finishing in the top 6 with Bet365

So I based it on us not playing in Europe this season (probably will be next ;-) ) and if we have a blistering start as the last two seasons I can see us been up there after the first 10 games so the cash out might then be worth having

Bookies are terrified of Bielsa.

Remember when he took over, just after SoggyBottom.

We'd been dire, bottom 3 of the form table for the entire calendar year.

Bookies made us top 3 for promotion despite that, despite the very average recruitment.

Not a bad price for a Top 6. Chuff United almost did it this year. And we've got a better coach. Not being in Europe does seem to help - look how many Europa League qualifiers struggle the following season.

SkyBet were offering 8/1 for Bielsa to win a manager of the month award.

EDIT: They’re still offering it, it’s down to 6/1 now
