I'm chomping at the bit here about 1982...Roxy Music, Simple Minds (again), one half of Steely Dan (my 1972 nomination), even Toto and Michael Jackson were all considered...

So has Beefheart to be fair... Really struggled to find 5 to vote for this time round.

Yep, very high on my list too, along with RM's "Avalon", SM's "New Gold Dream", "Thriller" and a couple of others.
But my no. 1 is Joe Jackson's "Night and Day". Was played non stop in my teens, can sing every word, and hits like Steppin' Out, Breaking Us in Two and Slow Song are timeless...
