Gorgeous, as you say; human frailty as beauty. Took me a couple of tracks to adjust to his voice, then listened to it straight through three times.

Neil Young 'Rust Never Sleeps'

Young’s always shown a knack for striking a chord, be it musical, vocal or lyrical. On Rust Never Sleeps, he hits all three notes with sustained power,

Joni Mitchell

Quite a departure from Joni's usual style, an album I consider an indispensable part of my music collection.

Pink Floyd 'The Wall'

Some brilliant songs, some not that great. Nowhere near as strong as their early 70's albums

The Ruts 'The Crack'

Their debut album is an essential component of any self-respecting punk collection.

Listened to all the '79 albums hence such a late vote from myself

Actually own three of the albums below, just didn't have time to review & rate them all. Some really good songs on every album :)

I need to explore The Raincoats/Stranglers/Parker albums further

Raincoats 'The Raincoats'
Tom Petty 'Damn The Torpedos'
Stranglers 'The Raven' Finn
Madness 'One Step Beyond'
Led Zeppelin 'In Through The Out Door'
Status Quo 'Whatever Yo Want'
Marianne Faithful 'Broken English'
Elvis Costello and the Attractions 'Armed Forces'
Boomtown Rats ' Fine Art Of Surfacing'
Adam & The Ants 'Dirk Wears White Sox'
Graham Parker and the Rumour 'Squeezing Out Sparks'
Specials 'The Specials'
ELO 'Discovery'

EOB 'Earth'

Moving, emotional and richly textured, Earth is an impressive solo debut from O'Brien, and delivers one of this year's more fully-formed albums.

Fantastic, Sara. One of my very favourite artists. Both their full length albums are superb, as are the early singles.
Hex is a masterpiece but I never thought Codename: Dustsucker got the love it deserved. It was a great record to make after such an extended period of inactivity.
