Aside from the goals most impressed with his link play and strength.

For both goals he held off a defender or swatted one aside.

For the 4th he showed real strength tight against the line and real class and composure with his quick feet and little flick.

Whenever the ball came to him back to goal more often then not he laid it off to a teammate.

88% pass completion rate for Lord Bamford.

Goals are one thing, but the link play and strength he showed was most impressive imo.

Keep it up Paddy.

Paddy deserves so much credit for his bravery, given his injury problems and knowing he was going to clatter with the post.

And also the intelligence to send the ball back where it came, clever lad.

So true, nothing more inspiring than seeing a man put his body on the line for your club. That kind of thing means the difference between applause and boos come the end of a game.

Posh boy didn't want to get his shirt dirty

Needs to up his game v Birmingham especially with the imminent return of Roofe or else he'll find himself on the bench.

Hopefully just a one off as I haven't seen him that poor in the white shirt of Leeds

He was very poor yesterday.

Hopefully a one off as you say.

Still got the 5th best minutes to goal ratio in the league and effectively 6 goals and 2 assists in 9.5 league games (only played 868mins).

Really pleased for him.

Took some unnecessary stick, he had missed chances but it happens.

Should have had a hattrick today but the 2 goals he scored were well taken, even the header wasn't as easy as it looked.

Linked well to and showed some great touches.

Hopefully give him the boost he needs.

8 goals 2 assists in 1028 mins.

1 goal ever 128.5mins, Pukki 126, Sharp 120, Abraham 127 the only players with a better ratio.

Paddy ahead of Che Adams, Neal Maupay, Dwight Gayle, Lewis Grabban etc.

On a lot less games ..that average will regress to a mean. Good striker but not better than Roofe, just different.

Average and mean are the same thing ;-)

Agree though - you've got to look at the appearances he's made vs those others. A lot of subs where he's picked up a goal. Pukki at al have played pretty much every minute I suspect.

Kemar is a better number 9 in this set up for me. Think I'd play Bamford deeper if I wanted to accommodate both.

Still like to see Bamford and Roofe in the same team as 9 and 10, interchanging with Klich as needed.

Bamford probably should have another 5 goals to his name considering Reading and Bham which would be phenomenal strike rate .It's very good anyway so let's hope he can continue it through the last 5 (or 8 if necessary but I pray we don't need play-offs to go up).

I'd still like to see Bamford and Roofe as 9 and 10, with Klich in the midfield but all 3 interchanging at times.

Even after two goals he didn't look confident with that late one-on-one.

Really happy for him though - lets hope he can kick on.

Defended Bamford a lot, i can take missing chances, it happens to all strikers.

I can take the languid nature of him, some players are like that.

I cant take what he did today.

That was pathetic Paddy, you need to publicly apologise because that was disgusting behaviour, no need for that.

I'm pretty sure in all the melee Bamford picked up a Villa player & them threw him to the ground......the only energy he used all afternoon.

Needs to get his act together or he could cost us in the play-offs

Just crazy to suggest we drop our only fit striker ahead of the two biggest games this club has had to play in 19 years.
