Re: Liverpool v Leeds - MAN OF THE MATCH
Was he that good Leon?
faaip's been salivating for a while now and I hope something good comes of it (not him salivating, just what he's salivating about).
I so wish I could have watched the game.

I saw Roofe early in the season and was not impressed. Looked weak and easy to knock off the ball. But the last couple of times I've seen him, he has improved dramatically.Norm wrote:Was he that good Leon?

Un Marcelo Bielsa, solo hay un Marcelo Bielsa. Gracias Marcello. Marsching on together.

Fulfilling faaip's predictions and expectations.l
Well done sir!
A bit more of that and we'll have a real team - not that we don't already in fits and starts.
I noticed Pontus wasn't playing today - is this Monk's statement about his reckless yellow cards I wonder.
Never mind, we're going in the right direction.
All of a sudden I'm not afraid of anybody in this division - wary but not afraid.

For me it was between Roofe and Berardi (who was excellent for his 1st proper game of the season)
But Roofe just kept trying and trying. So he gets it..

Up to half time I thought it was Cooper.
I thought Roofe had a pretty poor first half, giving
the ball away far too much through slack passing, in the second half he improved immensely.
Roofe.

Roofe.

roofe - just wish he'd bent that shot a tiny bit more!
Re: Liverpool v Leeds - MAN OF THE MATCH
Roofe or Taylor. Probably Taylor.....just.
Re: Liverpool v Leeds - MAN OF THE MATCH
Did Roofe have his goal at Wolves chalked off? Commentators kept going on about him still not having scored for Leeds?

Think it went down as an own goal. Tuesday nights are really bad for me so did not see or hear any of it.

Re: Liverpool v Leeds - MAN OF THE MATCH
That's unlucky for him. He was terrific last night. We put in a very respectable performance, Faaip. Difference was that we didn't take our chances. Sako had a great opportunity after 3 minutes and obviously Roofe had his shot that he bent against the post, as well as a couple of strikes that went straight at the keeper. Very encouraging though, especially as we were without Pontus, Hernandez and Bridcutt.faaip wrote:Think it went down as an own goal. Also, despite lots of press about Liverpool "playing the kids", our starting 11 was, on average a year younger than theirs.

Re: Liverpool v Leeds - MAN OF THE MATCH
Taylor for me - thought he looked real quality again last night and was up against some regular PL players - Roofe did well and looked far more at home in a more central role, nearly knocked myself out when he curled that shot on to the post!
Re: Liverpool v Leeds - MAN OF THE MATCH
Beradi.
Every game I predict a 3 - 1 Leeds win, I am traditional like that.
Re: Liverpool v Leeds - MAN OF THE MATCH
Though Taylor was brilliant 1st half but seemed to drop off a bit in second, everyone played well but my MOTM is going to Bartley. Thought Ailing did well slotting in a CB.

Bartley was, once again, immense at the back. Agree with that. He would get my vote too.
LEEDS AND FOREVER PROUD TO BE !!
Re: Liverpool v Leeds - MAN OF THE MATCH
Roofe for me he's starting to believe he belongs at Leeds once he scores they'll be no stopping him (I hope anyway)

Re: Liverpool v Leeds - MAN OF THE MATCH
Roofe his best game so far. Just needs a goal then I am sure the floodgates will open for him.
Re: Liverpool v Leeds - MAN OF THE MATCH
