Signing Traore would be yet another obsessional purchase
Traore is a huge huge no from me. No different to James and certainly not a Raphinha replacement. I'd rather we develop Summerville to replace Raph than piss any transfer money up the wall on Traore. We still need a proper #10 and a decent backup #9. Gelhardt is great (and will/should get plenty of minutes) but he fits a role somewhere between the two positions for me. LB and experienced backup goalkeeper also needed. AND, a Phillips replacement if he goes too. So lots of work still needed:
Order of priority:
#10/AM
#9 backup for Bamford
LB competition
GK backup (Casilla is adequate but I think his time here should be over)
***
KP replacement (priority if he goes)
Raph replacement (third priority if he goes- Summerville could be the answer)
Rumour - Sevilla offering 7m to Rangers for Morelos, now he's a temperamental git, but that's a good deal at 7m for us, we should be all over that he's only 25.

I see the Aussies qualify again with their positive attitude albeit with penalties.
The grade A Clown should be allover them type of games trying to spot any potential cheap talent playing their hearts out for a WC spot.
Kenny, you’ll be glad to know that we are offering lessons in penalty taking to any country that struggles under the pressure. We have a 100% success rate in competitive fixtures.

I keep seeing some daft rumours about Phil Jones interesting Leeds. We have plenty of cover at CB so to me it has the whiff of some wind-up merchant journalists or click-bait. I think Orta would get pelters and driven out of Yorkshire if that one came to fruition.
Been reported that we have an interest in Manchester City midfielder James McAtee who is known as the Salford Silva due to his comparisons in his style to former Manchester City icon David Silva.
It is said Manchester City aren't interested in a sale due to him recently signing a long term contract.
But this may change if it helps them sign Kalvin Phillips.
David Silva - My all time fav Prem player, gifted movement, skill and vision.
Get him signed.

Still believe we require another proven striker whether Bamford is fit or not, only needs Paddy & Joe unavailable due to injuries & we are back to square one again.
As well as that there tends to be an assumption these days that Bamford will automatically repeat his feats of the season before last, even though he has tended historically to be a streaky striker. What if he reverts to being the Paddy who attracted so much criticism when he went about 12 games without a goal in the championship ? ( at the time that Nketiah was about to take his place before he got injured ) And then there's the fact that Bamford has been injured for nearly two out of his 4 seasons at the club.
One swallow doesn't make a summer, and one decent season doesn't make a player a top PL striker either. Personally speaking, I don't think that Bamford is a particularly natural finisher - it's easy to forget that he once attracted a lot of flak for his poor finishing. In fact at one stage it was probably the biggest talking point among fans when it came to player performance. Like the Bielsa/Marsch thing it polarised the fans.
KP won't be a starter for Man City; if the rumours about PSG are right he should learn French and we could get more money and Kilmuendo as a back-up or replacement for Bamford.
This will not make many friends but imo Sander Berge would be an improvement on KP.
Gossip about Nathan Collins from Burnley in a position we don't need to strengthen (same with Phil Jones) but I would take Charlie Taylor back to improve at LB.
Bamford is shyte also now Bert's gone - get rid asap if any money to be had which i doubt, so we'll have to see how big Jesse can find summert in him.
We need another 5 first team signings and the biggest magic wand we can find to gel them in 7 weeks, perhaps longer coz Jesses luck granted him an easy opening fixture run to get them reet.
Orta'l sort it, sit back and relax.

Mike McGrath has reiterated that we are long term admirers of Noa Lang but face competiton from AC Milan and West Ham who can both offer European Football.
Welsh winger Rabbi Matondo is an alternative target after his impressive season in Belgium.
Interestingly both are Belgium based players and Orta was in Belgium last week.
Lang's personality may rub some up the wrong way though.
Matondo is by far the bigger risk in player terms.
Matondo would be the cheaper option but at present imo the gulf in class between them is vast.
