I had seven of them before I sold/gifted my record collection.

Unfortunately, James, I had to sell my vinyl collection in the late 70s, needs must at that time!

Would be worth a fortune now.

Replaced my vinyl with CD's & a hell a lot more over the last 40+ years.

Some of my collection in our music room

Nice collection Leon

Tbh, I've never got excited about CDs as a format, even though I bought plenty of them.

I was brought up with vinyl, so that's where it's at for me.

When punk started I sued to send off to a number of the London record shops, that advertised in the NME, for singles and albums which I would struggle to get locally, cos the other option was a 60 mile round trip on the bus to Carlisle with my mates. There was a good little record shop there hidden away in a back alley which I think was called Northern Corner.

It was very exciting getting the records through the post, I'd be watching for the postie every morning and bothering my Dad sking him have you seen the postie? what time do you think he'll land? etc.

Good memories

I can't speak any other languages, so highly unlikely I'd use the Cyrillic alphabet

I picked this book up in a charity shop this morning, Riot. Picking up on the vinyl revival and why things have (to a point) gone full circle.

Yeah, it's amazing, all those technological improvements but vinyl still shines as the best format for me

Cheers James

Vinyl went missing for 25 years, by that time I'd rebuilt another collection on CD, there was no way I was going to change my format for a third time. Tbh, we haven't got the space to store vinyl.

Nor me Sara, it was a necessity at the time.

Vinyl took a total nosedive, with albums not easily available.

Vinyl is now ridiculously expensive!
