Perhaps just not as much involvement over the course of the 4 tests than the England "stars" like Root, Johnny, Stokes. England have a number of ODI's against India and SA beginning tomorrow so the likes of Lees, Crawley, Overton and Foakes obviously won't be taking part in those early ones as they are all playing CC today. Anderson, Broad, Potts, Stokes, Root, Johnny, Pope are not involved today so I expect them all in the ODI squad along with Harry Brook. He's going to be the biggest miss of all for us if he features for England throughout July as he was in fine form for us up to the Hampshire game. Our team for this Surrey match does look weak doesn't it? Surprised we've reached 250 really. Lyth going well, just reached his century.

We could do with Malan and Willey to bolster the ranks for the July CC games. Surely they won't be involved in the ODI's too. Rashid has gone to Mecca but to be honest hasn't played red ball cricket for yonks.

Football, Rugby, Cricket for me. I suppose attending ER & Headingley from an early age embedded my club loyalty. I used to love international sport as a kid, now I have little interest, these days.

3,500 Yorkies at Scarborough yesterday watching our county championship match, about 5,000 fans turn up when Yorks play at Scarborough in August. Always the highest county attendance on the North Yorkshire coast, lovely setting
