Would be excellent business if they could manage it.

£25mil would seem achievable.

Fair play to Southampton.

Radz would have had him in an Uber on the way to London within 30 seconds. :)

Also bet the club wish they hadn't been so tight now and just signed Lavia instead of Gyabi.

Penny pinching cost us a £40mil profit within 2 months :roflmao:

Radz will be devastated

I think this is what Radz/Orta envisaged all these u23s signings would end up selling for. But they actually need to play regular PL football to go for these kind of prices, not sticking them in the u23s and loaning out to League One.

It's exactly what they envisioned.

But they don't seem to get that to get the best youth prospects you have to spend decent money.

You may get lucky for £1-2mil but these days generally you will need larger fees.

Southampton have spent £10mil on Samuel Edozie.

£11mil on Sekou Mara.

£11mil on Romeo Lavia.

£12mil on Gavin Bazanu.

£9mil on Armel Bella- Kotchap.

Last season they signed Tino Livramento for £5.5mil.

They have or will put all of them into there first team and would probably make a profit on most of them already.

If you want to be this stepping stone club you need to commit fully.

It's not something we should be doing but it's what the board want.

Exactly. The only u23 signing who will go for big money is Struijk, and that's because he's had regular PL football.

No more bets please.
Bookies have stopped taking wagers on Hasenhuttl after various outlets including The Telegraph & The Sun (must be true then) reported the Saints were preparing to sack him this weekend. They play Citeh on Saturday so at least he’ll get 3 points before he buggers off. Not.
Currently sitting 1pt above the drop zone having lost 4 of their last five.
His four PL finishes are 16th 11th 15th 15th

Funny. Just journalists putting 2 and 2 together. RB manager for a RB manager. No incentive for Marsch. Couldn't see him leaving for anything other than a bigger job or the USA national team.

You can put whoever you want on your shopping list.
Doesn’t mean anything. I’ve got Haaland on mine but he was sold out in Waitrose.
