What an inspiration, top bloke, the streets round us were rammed with well wishers early saturday morning, he looked knackered, and I'm not surprised.
If anyone deserves 'sports personalilty of the year' it's Kevin Sinfield, he won't get it, because he ain't bbc , pc, woke, politically corrupt enough.

Well done Kev for outing the government who, ashameably, haven't yet handed over the promised £50 million funds.

People across Leeds and beyond who have followed the heartbreaking story of Rob Burrow's battle with Motor Neurone Disease and fellow rugby star Kevin Sinfield's campaigning are furious.
That's because King Charles' first New Year Honours has omitted Kevin Sinfield, despite calls from many that Sinfield should have been picking up a knighthood.
Four England Lioness stars were given knighthoods along with Queen guitarist Brian May and artist Grayson Perry.
In his acceptance speech, Kevin took aim at the government for failing to do more to fund MND research, telling viewers 'it's not incurable, just underfunded'.
And today people are furious that Kevin Sinfield has not been knighted by King Charles.
Khya Gott said: "Kevin Sinfield, who has raised millions of pounds for motor neurone disease, excluded from this list. In November he ran seven ultra-marathons in seven days for MND. His exclusion is surprising, but he doesn’t need a title to be a legend."
He should have been the first name New Year's Honours list

Re: Kevin Sinfield snubbed for a Knighthood.
How do we know he was snubbed? Maybe he snubbed them?

Re: Kevin Sinfield snubbed for a Knighthood.
For obvious reasons I detested Sinfield as a player, but as a man - wow, a true legend and he gets my respect whatever words he has before his name.
Shame on the hierarchy if he has been snubbed for calling out the tories. Vive la Republic.

It's a total national disgrace, OB.

Re: Kevin Sinfield snubbed for a Knighthood.
Most awards are real head scratchers.
Whilst Sinfield has done incredible physical feats and charity fund raising there is a bloke in Cumbria who has run a marathon everyday in 2022. He has done so whilst working full time - to raise money for MacMillan. He isn’t a celebrity so the publicity around his feats are not widely publicised but he hopes to raise a million. Had he been on National news on a regular basis he would have raised millions.
This fella will be lucky to get any recognition because he is not a perceived celebrity or a friend of a politician or person of influence.

he's been on Border TV almost every week but no nationals have picked it up, you're absolutely right, he's a proper hero.DDB220 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 31, 2022 2:00 pm Most awards are real head scratchers.

Not sure why Sinfield is any more deserving of an honour than thousands up and down the country who do equally sterling work raising money for charity.

How do you run a marathon everyday? Are there that many marathons?
