I've never had the pleasure of meeting any Quebecois. But I did live for seven years in an area of Northern Ontario that's a mixture of English, French and Italian Canadians, primarily.
I found the people I worked with were all friendly enough and helpful and a lot of these were French Canadians.
But Canadians, in general in that area, were very unfriendly and closed off to anyone different.
It's like they have their friends and family and why should they bother with immigrants.
I'm more than happy to be back in Europe, in Bulgaria, where people are open, friendly, and warm to everyone.
I wouldn't set foot on Canadian soil again, they're more than welcome to all of that snow and ice
Funnily enough I've visited America a few times and found the people to be very friendly and civil.
