Great group 64, one of John Peel's favourites. Back in the late 70s I used to listen to Peel every night he was on, and record it as well. He introduced me and many others to so much great music. Sadly missed John, a very funny and passionate guy, RIP. Hypnotized is a great LP too.

I also listened to John Peel & Bob Harris radio shows during the 70's, great platform for listening to new bands. Jill & I were staying in Bury In St Edmonds not long after his death in 2004, we visited the church where his funeral service was held, outside was littered with flowers & tributes to dear John which was a sad highlight of our weekend.

We happened to be down there for a Leeds game at Portman Road, of course we lost felt like I was mourning the death of LUFC at that time too!

How does 'Drunk Tank Pink' compare to Shame's debut album 'Songs Of Praise'?

In my opinion it's better and a much more varied album. In some ways, they're almost unrecognisable as the same band. I bought Songs Of Praise when it came out, as it was recommended to me by someone and I really liked Dust On Trial but didn't feel the rest of the album lived up to it. DTP is a better record, for me.
