Re: Leeds Utd v Norwich City Match Thread

I'd pick Joseph too, I doubt Farke will but with Piroe in a rut you never know. I doubt Farke would start Joseph. He hasn't done it since Chelsea and only because that was a throw away game. But given that he played Archie as a 10 last time out. Who knows? He hadn't been surprises all season until ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Thursday 16th May) - 49ers tell Bundesliga outfit to stump up £15m for defender

As for Wober

Don't we risk losing him on loan again next season if we can't agree a transfer fee?

Personally I think he's a useful player. Would be good to have back in the squad. Especially if we get promo'd. But id we don't go up, we don't appear to have any power in negotiating a transfer fee.

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Thursday 16th May) - 49ers tell Bundesliga outfit to stump up £15m for defender

I'd rather they just made it easier for themselves by ditching the stupid 'not interfering with play' interpretation. A player should be offside if they are in an offside position regardless of whether he is interfering or not. Simply be being on the pitch he is interfering as a defender has to mar...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Thursday 16th May) - 49ers tell Bundesliga outfit to stump up £15m for defender

Would anybody want a league without offside rules? The problem is they keep changing the offside rules. Even in the middle of the season. I wish they'd go back to the original rule - any man ahead of the last defender, regardless of his involvement. Makes it so much easier to interpret. And all tha...

In which court was this ? Faaips ?
I was going to pull up that same point. He's proved himself to be a quality player. But he hasn't proved 35 million worth. I'd sau he's justified about a 20m price tag this season.

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Thursday 16th May) - 49ers tell Bundesliga outfit to stump up £15m for defender

DF is never leaving him out for a game this big. Another poor performance will probably see him hooked after 60 minutes though. I'd rather start Rutter than bring him on as a sub later in the game. That way he won't be on the field when it comes down to penalties. Because, you'd have to think he ma...

Morning all. Re VAR. It will stay, no matter what the clubs think we are too far down the wormhole to turn back. Rutter needs benched, obviously the operation has played a factor but the more I think about it I wonder if the reaslisation that he is our key player and the pressure that had brought t...

Morning all. Tell the Krauts to do one, we'll take Wober back, jpb done. Rutter needs dropping, however it's tha managers call, let's see the line up tonight and get behind whoever. As I continue to say, it's the useless herberts running/ ruining VAR that's the issue, not the system. The technology...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wednesday 15th May) Toffee's fans praying for Leeds play-off exit

after getting some of my best people to run their eye over this my original 5 are: Jimmy Dan Piroe Firpo Anthony It's hard to call. Like you said earlier, we don't know who'll be on the pitch. Expect Farke to have made 5 subs if it goes 120 minutes, If Piroe starts, you wouldn't expect him to go th...

Re: Cricket 2023/2024

Being a Yorkshireman Andrew, we have to include England's greatest opener in our teams. I could find room for the likes of Brian Close, Ray Illingworth, Freddie Trueman & Joe Root. I never saw Len Hutton play who is an all-time England great. Luckily got to see Close and Illingworth. Two from t...

Re: Cricket 2023/2024

Impossible to argue with, I went with Knot at WK as he was the greatest exponent at the position in my lifetime. Doesn't score the runs like Gilchrist does but I'm not necessarily looking for runs from my WK Its impossible to pick really. Would have wanted to squeeze about 2 dozen more names in the...

Re: Premier League Thread

Leeds would struggle if we overcome our play-offs hoodoo, one season too early for promotion to the Premier League imo! I'd still rather go up this year. Too many concerns with the squad and finances to be confident we'll do better next season. Maybe the board have it under control. But lots of con...

Crewe Alexandra overturned a two-goal first-leg deficit to beat Doncaster Rovers on penalties and secure a place in the League Two play-off final. Screenshot 2024-05-11 07.09.31.png Very disappointed. It was a brilliant run by Donny to make the playoffs. They won 10 in a row, then drew on the last ...

3rd highly likely to be on the way soon.
It makes the disparity between the divisions even wider when you consider that 2 of the 3 above the relegation zone had point deductions. And still none of the bottom 3 could stay up.

Re: Norwich City v Leeds Utd Match Thread

Still think the EFL need to chose sporting integrity over whatever they think the playoffs is good for, we have 17 points more than Norwich it’s just not right that that gap means next to sod all now. Really will be sickening if West Brom or Norwich go up because over the course of the season they ...

The scoreline flattered city but will our boys learn from it !! I watch a lot of the youth teams, couldn't understand why we changed our tactics and fell into their hands, thought we'd revert at HT, but didn't. Still , a good achievement for the kids but will they bounce back physcologically, good ...
