Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tuesday 27th July) - Anxiety over lack of transfer activity at Elland Road

Did anyone else think when we played the likes of Liverpool or Man U, we gave them a little too much respect? I remember someone, Kalvin I'm sure, saying exactly that after the first Man City game. That will change this season, we were noticeably more confident in the latter half of the season. It'...

Saying that, Victor Orta said he wanted to get signings concluding a month ago!! We are now a few days away from Augustin, and the season starts in just over two weeks!!!! Don't panic MB  I don't think it was meant to be taken literally that we would have every single one of our signings don...

Probably going straight into the first managers job in the Championship when someone inevitably gets sacked before Christmas.

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tuesday 27th July) - Anxiety over lack of transfer activity at Elland Road

I do not consider our current transfer business as disappointing. The LB position was a pressing priority and that has been sorted to a large degree. Midfield from an offensive perspective, even in the absence of a new major signing still has plenty to be positive about. We haven’t seen the best fr...

Not even halfway through the window yet and we've filled our highest priority position. Absolutely no reason whatsoever to flap.

Can't help but feel this 'anti-Turkish' (not anti-THAT club) sentiment has been manufactured a bit by the media here. Can't say I've come across anybody with those sorts of feelings.

Happy for Alioski, he'll always be one of our promotion legends. May he get rich, fat and happy.

Ian Povada HIT or MISS Will he make the grade this season? Neither. He's got time on his side (he's only 21) and if he can replicate his form in the first City game, where he gave Mendy the biggest runaround of his life then he'll be fantastic. Having Raphinha around to learn from will only help.

If Bielsa didn't play players 'out of position' then Kalvin Phillips wouldn't be where he is today.

The promise of first team football holds no more water for us than it does any other club, especially at this level. The club wouldn't make it a contractual obligation, it would be utter insanity to do so. What if a run of games, even just one game, was the difference between securing a European spo...

Re: Newcastle United Thread

Mike Ashley is the real-life Jabba the Hutt. He's content to keep Newcastle at the very baseline of Premier League survival, just enough to keep them profitable. We've had our good owners and bad owners, but at least they are extremes that you either enjoy the good times with or wait for the storm t...

I'm very excited about Bate. He seems to have an attacking flair coupled with strength, solidity and a positional sense uncommon for a lad so young. I think he'll be groomed to be not only Phillips's cover but also may fill in a similar role to Klich as well. Versatility is key and cover in both tho...

Sorry Cooper fans, have to say that if it's a choice between the four then he comes bottom of the list for me. It's not really a matter of ability, I don't think he's as unsuited to the Prem as some might claim nor do I think he's all that exceptional when stacked up against the alternatives. The qu...

Harry it was nearer the middle than the corner. A top keeper saves that all day Mate it was as tucked under the bar as you can get, the only better place to put it was in the corner and he almost got a hand to it. Don't think it's as easy as you're making it sound. Anyway, I for one have never desc...
