Re: Leeds Utd v Tottenham Hotspur Match Thread

What a fitting ending. A microcosm of the season.

Re: Weston McKennie

To be honest, there are no goals from our central midfielders of Adams, McKennie, Roca & Forshaw, another problem that needs to be addressed in the future. This is one area where I'm surprised McKennie hasn't chipped in a couple. My impression has always been that he has a bit of a nose (head) for ...

Re: When did it all go wrong?

If Leeds wasn't going to fire Marsch before the transfer window closed, they probably should've just let it play out.

I'm not saying that's necessarily where it all went wrong... I'd put that more on Leeds getting a stunningly poor return for all of the $$$ spent on transfers.

Re: A message from the players

You know what... I'll take the other angle on this.

It's about time the players are angry, embarrassed, and surly after a loss. The fans will be fine. These guys need to find some answers and the answer isn't signing more autographs, as far as I'm concerned.

Re: Weston McKennie

FFS I wouldn't even take him at 10M-15M after watching him since January. For my love LUFC and the United States National Team this player needs to be elsewhere next season. I've thought, for a bit, that his starting spot in the midfield of the USMNT could be fleeting. With Adams and potentially ...

Re: Jesse Marsch- Rejects Leicester job

I would think Marsch would be pushing hard for the USMNT job, though he might not be a 1st choice there, either.

He's still going on about that play in the 1st half - which was barely a tap on the foot.

Re: Wolverhampton Wanderers v Leeds Utd Match Thread - McKennie & Gnonto in for Adams & Summerville

Is there some reason neither Bamford nor Rodrigo would shoot the ball?

Re: Positives & Negatives v Chelsea (a)

Obvious statement, maybe... but I feel like what happens over the next 2 matches is going to largely shape how we view the performances in the past 2 matches.

It's one thing to lose the ball when you're trying to make a decisive pass... it's another to keep losing it like Leeds is doing.

Harrison is, in fact, on the pitch. I had no idea.

Well said.

Instead of trying to pick a corner, shoot for the middle and rely on your inaccuracy to send the ball home. That's how I used to play, anyway.

Re: Brenden Aaronson

I think that's the role for Aaronson, for a bit. Comes into the match full of energy and gets a chance vs. some tired defenders. Less likely to get constantly knocked over?

Let him play/force his way into a larger role.

Add me to the list of gutted we didn’t win the game but chuffed we got a point and with the way we won it. Shows we’ve been playing with the handbrake on under Jesse and we have the players to get us out of this mess. My Scum neighbour reckons we got lucky and they’ll do us on Sunday. I do so love i ...
