Re: Brenden Aaronson- Return from loan confirmed

I'd have Pascal and Ampadu ahead of Wober in a pecking order. I think Wober looked better than he was because he came into a shambolic defence, and tactical set-up, whereby anyone able to win a few headers, make a few blocks etc looked better than what had gone before. His passing was woeful which ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Monday 20th May) - Piroe or Bamford?

I never knew until recently the ex relationship between DF and Martin, in fact i knew feck all about Martin playing for Norwich.. But it suggests to me that Martin knows DF's way of thinking and has guessed his plans successfully on our previous 2 meetings, especially the first half mauling we took ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Monday 20th May) - Piroe or Bamford?

Afternoon all. Piroe had a goal v SH, played very well ast week so he has to start. Bamford can come on later. Especially if it comes to pens. ;-) Dirty tricks, if I'd had been a boro player I'd have moved the signs and took the heat later. Do we know who gets to wear their home strip? Oh Jesus fec...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Monday 20th May) - Piroe or Bamford?

I'm favouring a 4-2-4, 2-4-4 that includes the Piroe/Rutter in the game we saw at v Norwich over a not fully fit PB. If he's been working with Piroe/Rutter, like seems evident, and there's interchangeable roles of those 2 plus Jimmy and Gnonto all across the attack, it could be our best form of atta...

Re: Southampton pre match chat

Spot on Kenneth. I think whichever side we end up committing bodies into attack (usually the left) we will have to move across as a team and try to cut out the space in midfield. Similarly when Rutter gets caught in possession we will need bodies around him to cut out the space. I heard Connor on t...

Re: Southampton pre match chat

All i know is he's just got to have our players ready for a change if need be, and have them ALL ready and prepared to know the plans. Play A, B and C In an ideal scenario like Norwich, plan A is doing just fine. If he goes with the same team, we have back up with James, Joseph, Roberts and Anthony ...

Re: Player of the year award

Does this open after the final Sidney me howd chap ?

I'm keen as mustard to vote, it's now between 2 for me after having a front runner for so long.

The final performance between these 2 will be the decider for me, as i'm struggling to split them for excellent reasons.

Re: Southampton pre match chat

I think that's probably where i am. Martin as had the upper hand tactically so far and i think Midfield is a key area. Like Cjay says Martin seems to find the knack of overloading in midfield, even the CB's get involved when he goes with the 5 at the back and they also like to get plenty of Midfiel...

Re: Heidi's Blog - Explosive performance sees Leeds book their place at Wembley

It’s nights like that, which make all those dreary nights worthwhile Heidi. Absolutely incredible atmosphere, a privilege to be there. Correct BB, I absolutely love seeing nights like that for you fans that put you money time and effort into supporting LUFC, I always think of you all being there an...

You fcked up Tyson, and you ended up looking like the twat, quit it, you've realised the hard way, this guy is no mug and he has made you look like one. From the beeb : Lennox Lewis criticised Tyson Fury’s gameplan against Oleksandr Usyk after the Briton suffered a split-decision loss to the Ukraini...

Re: Boxing chat

I really admire the dignity and integrity of fighters like Usyk, Klitcho etc these Eastern fighters that are very humble and go about their business in a dignified manner containing composure in the build up to fighting. Fury hurt him in the early middle rounds that he didn't capitalise on, he also ...

Re: Southampton pre match chat

In the game where Leicester City defeated Southampton 5-0, Leicester employed a 4-3-3 formation. This setup featured a dynamic front three and a solid midfield, which allowed them to control the game and exploit Southampton’s defensive weaknesses, especially since they will often send their full ba...

Re: Southampton pre match chat

I think if we are looking for an example approach from this season it would be Leicester away. We started pressing right from the off and had a couple of great chances to open the scoring. \but then allowed them possession in their half, but once they tried to come forward but our two dfms were rot...

Re: Joel Piroe

Piroe was told to get involved and play as part of a team, he did. Most of his other displays have been found wanting because of his expectation of others to play to him. Something was clearly missing previously between mainly him and Rutter and the front 4 looked disjointed a lot of the time when h...

Re: Southampton pre match chat

Sorry to disagree but it seems to me our season has been built on clean sheets and not an all out pressing style with the acceptance that we will concede. Keeping possession and repeatedly probing the opposition defence is more our style and there's no reason to ask the players to change that now. ...

Re: Southampton pre match chat

The main thing I took away from the last game was that if you press Southampton high they will conceded possession. Think we have to be really on the front foot against them and we'll get rewards! Precisely this ^ We must have confidence in our own ability and attacking players to better theirs, th...

Any other player would selfishly attempt a shot from an impossible angle, Junior calmly laid the ball back to Cree.

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Friday 17th May) - Leeds United are halfway there

Morning all. A fantastic night at a rocking ER, absolute bedlam, when Gruev got the early goal I hoped we'd keep the pressure up and we did just that, 2-0 and I was hoping if there was a 3rd coming, it was from us, what a superb save from Meslier to keep us 2 up before we got the 3rd. No let up in ...
