Re: Kalvin Phillips - Birthday boy!
I know Kalvin & Jack G get on well when on the England call-ups Yeah seems they definitely do. Was a bit disappointed when we didn't end up signing him last year, but have massive respect for him staying with his hometown club to help you get promoted. Feels like we don't see that type of loyal...

Re: Grealish
But unless you are saying its ok then going down to easy is diving isnt it? Imo (maybe old fashioned) but you should only go down if the contact was enough to reasonably make you go down. Grealish (and others tbf ) dont do that, in my book thats wrong and should be called out. Hazard got a reputati...

Re: Grealish
Whether he is or isn’t worth that, I am certain that there’s teams out there that would pay it. I could see Man Utd shelling out £90m+ Fair play to Villa, won’t let him go unless there’s a proper incentive for them. We would only do the same with Phillips. Exactly this. There's no reason for us to ...

Re: Grealish
Grealish... does he go down too easy? Yes, sometimes, but I think that's a significant part of his playing style. I think i've only seen him "dive" once, and that was the Palace game over the summer when he got a pen and VAR overturned it — think that Bruno getting a Man U penalty for stom...

Re: Today's Games
Is that in the build up to the offside? If so then presumably once its decided he is offside then whatever else happens is irrelevant? Deserved to win tbf to you. He *actually* goes the slight armpit in an attempt to get out of the headlock which is before he gets to the cross and slots home. I thi...

I don't understand how Watkins being in a chokehold is not a clear and obvious error.

Re: Marcelo Bielsa
He took us from 14th to this with a couple of additions: 1286347833260625922 It’s all about the style of play for me. No other reason they’d nominate a 2nd tier manager. He’s an enigma Fair enough, I just don't think that winning promotion from the Championship would warrant a nomination compared t...

Re: Football Manager 2021
It's the first time I've upgraded in 3 years. I don't see the point of buying it every year. I usually just use database updates and editors for a couple of years. But I was read for a new upgrade this year. I too like the added speed. I like the press conferences. Still getting to grips with a few...

Re: Today's Games
Barkley a big miss for us.
The pen decision I am surprised got overturned (not that I don't think it was) but that it was one of the first times a decision like that was overturned this year.
Guaranteed that if that was given for a big 6 side it wouldn't be overturned.

Re: Today's Games
I find it very hilarious and astonishing that ManU have a manager in Ole, who I don't think any of the other 19 PL teams would even want to replace their own boss.
No way would I want him over Smith for example

Re: Aston Villa v Leeds Utd Match Thread - Struijk starts in defensive midfield
Villa will bounce back  We'll both be comfortably above the drop zone imo. yup i think we will. We have an extremely favorable schedule for the foreseeable future, up until the festive period (Arsenal A is the only "big 6" game we have until then). This is probably better said in ano...

Re: Aston Villa v Leeds Utd Match Thread - Struijk starts in defensive midfield
Have to say mate, other than a 5-10 minute spell, I was really disappointed with a lot of your play tonight, don't want to rub things in but you'd probably do a lot better if your players stayed on their feet a bit more. We totally outclassed you all over the park. Mings is a lucky boy but tbf so wa...

Re: Aston Villa v Leeds Utd Match Thread - Struijk starts in defensive midfield
Well done and respect villain for coming on here after a 0-3 defeat, and being honest re Mings. I didn't see the game and I'm just catching up reading all my fellow MOT'ers reviews. yeah I think Mings reaction was because he initially thought that Bamford had dived (not sure if you have seen the re...

Re: Aston Villa v Leeds Utd Match Thread - Struijk starts in defensive midfield
Was a good game even before the goals, some great keeping from our young un Meslier. What would you have done differently were you Smith, looking back? Feel like this game was going to be won by whoever scored scored first. With Smith it can get very complicated in todays result because imo McGinn ...
