Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Thursday 18th December) Leeds ready to listen to offers for Gnonto

Gnonto is one of our few creative players in a team which often struggles to create chances. And as we saw against Brentford, one who can actually suddenly turn a game with a bit of skill and creative flair. What latest form of Leeds United self-harm is this ? Can't we just palm off Longstaff to ...

Re: Is it a concern we haven't kept a clean sheet since August? - Poll of the Day (16th Dec)

Imo it isn't always the fault of an individual. Sometimes it is sometimes it isn't. The amount of times players get behind our full backs for example, Farke tells the full backs to push high, is that the full backs fault if someone gets behind them or tactical? Should the player read the situation ...

Re: i would sell these players next month to allow funds to buy

Struijk and Gnonto are our saleable assets if we want/need to generate income. Struijk's value must be in the mid twenties now as he's playing so well this season. Gnonto has a large sell on IIRC so even if we get say 15 for him a large chunk will go to FC Zurich... Stach is probably worth more ...

Re: Player Ratings vs Brentford

Spot on!! I don't know what people are watching. Bijol was an absolute rock in the center of our defense. Yes, a shot deflected off his leg for the goal. But he was immense! Had Thiago in his pocket all night. Bijol rapidly becoming our best CB now he is being played in his correct position between ...

Re: Player Ratings vs Brentford

What the f..k are they going on about......Bijol was a rock at the back. I was chatting a good friend on the phone at half-time saying, there isnt as much onus on Struijk & Rodon winning aerial duels now, as Jaka wins the majority of the crosses since we went three at the back. 10 Bijol 07 Rodon 05 ...

Sticking rigidly still to the point a game target it would seem...

Should have been Piroe or Gnonto starting today.

Was that 5 major defensive errors ?

Re: Brentford v Leeds United Match Thread

Got that stat wrong earlier. This will be the 34th away game that DF has manged in the PL.

So if we lose today it will be ; 34 away games in total with Norwich and Leeds. 27 lost. 2 wins. 5 draws ( all the draws with Norwich )

Usually at least one major defensive error every single match. Three today already I think.

Re: Brentford v Leeds United Match Thread

Absolutely nothing between the two sides tbh. We've had the better chances though. Struijk has been excellent apart from the one error which almost cost us, as has Stach. And that's always been the problem with Struijk - when he switches off from time to time it costs us. It's not by chance that ...

Re: Brentford v Leeds United Match Thread

In their last 4 home game Brentford have only scored once in the first half. They have however scored five from the 80th minute onwards. Be very aware of those stats Mr Farke. Especially given all the late goals we have conceded this season so far. And especially down our vulnerable left flank.

Re: Is Calvert-Lewin/Nmecha an upgrade on Piroe/Joseph + How many goals? - Poll of the Day (14th Dec)

I hope that Piroe is given a chance as the second striker today with Nmecha out again. If it works and he retains his place whilst Nmecha is out, then fine - let them compete for the position. Nmecha and DCL are both likely to miss plenty more games between now and the end of the season. If Piroe ...

Thank god we didn't waste £40m on Fulham's Rodrigo Muniz, one goal in seven appearances, and now he is out injured for much of this season.
We need a loan deal for a striker in January - one from abroad somewhere most likely.

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tuesday 9th December) The seven days that have re-shaped Farke's Leeds United career

Why do we need another winger if we are using wing-backs ?

We need another striker. plus a left footed CB to try and shore up that vulnerable left flank which we concede the most goals from.

Both of our current strikers have had a history of frequent injuries.

Re: Leeds vs Liverpool positives and negatives

His challenge on VVD when he headed the ball over the bar is under appreciated. Without that challenge they would have gone one up without a doubt. The pass leading to their third goal, which seemingly went through the eye of a needle from their left side of the pitch to our left side, which ...
