Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Friday 19th April) How far will £36m in parachute payments stretch
I do wish people (You know who you are  ) would stop writing us off for promotion Boro 0 Leeds 2 QPR 0 Leeds 3 Then the crunch 8-) This is the correct take. Now is not the time to quit on this squad. They've earned my belief. It ain't over yet. As for Foxes vs. Saints- draw is what I'm hoping...

Re: Blackburn Rovers Post Match Discussion
This team is capable. They've already won 26 times this season ffs. Something or someone needs to give them a collective kick in the arse.

And I was disappointed when it looked like we were going to draw. Sigh.
That was the Leedsiest Leeds-up that ever did Leeds.

I'm not a Bamford apologist but he plays best when his status is in question. It's been true dating back to Roofe. Start Piroe or Joseph to put him on the edge then throw him on and watch him deliver. When he's settled as starter he disappears.

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Monday 8th April) - Ipswich falter but Leeds bottle it
Yeah, I'm not really worried. The break came at a bad time for us (as did Rutter's surgery) but we're getting healthier. Two home ties and some rest should help DF right the ship. And, worse case scenario, a playoff promotion run could be fun and exciting... No matter how it goes we're in for some d...

With Cry you have to wait until January at least. See how he does in the PL (assuming promotion). If he does well sign and keep. If he flops sell him. If we're back in the Champo, sell him in the summer for profitability.

Re: Today's Games
This weekend's results were far better than I could have hoped for! I was worried we would drop points at SW and reckoned maybe only one of the top two would today. Table is still tighter than a clam with lockjaw but it is looking pretty fine for us at the moment.

Re: A to Z of Pop - Your 3 favourite NEIL YOUNG songs
I'm doing quite well Leon, thanks. Busy, though I haven't been away (and very much enjoying this edition of the squad), I still check in and lurk here as often as I can. I simply don't have time at the moment to listen to obscure records from 2008... :) You seem to keep right on trucking through. Th...

Neil may be my all time favourite. Prodigious, varied and gifted.
I have a hard time picking ten, let alone three but I've always liked these three:
Campaigner
Everybody Knows This is Nowhere
Love is a Rose

He wasn't the most skilled or graceful player on the pitch but he always gave his all and he cares about the club. Never quit on the team.

Re: Album of 1970 (Part III) - NOMINATE NOW
I am out for round 3. I may vote from time to time if the year/nominations are interesting enough and time allows me to listen to them, but I found I was struggling to keep up in round 2 when many nominations were unknown to me. I will definitely be checking in to see what's happening here though.

It's a hard league, and it's hard on players and managers. And supporters. Keep the faith, I think DF finds a way.

Got, my max 5pts vote, Onemore Good on ya Muppet! I'm kinda joking of course. I realized very early on that this exercise was highly subjective. The best thing about it was discovering new music and learning about other posters. Too bad it's over, but the second round was a stretch at times. A thir...

Re: Five players who should be sold in January/Summer 2024?
In an ideal world, you buy low and sell high. The only ones on this list that would fetch a decent fee are Messier and Gnonto. I wouldn't let either one go. Bamford and Firpo are overpaid for what they play. You would have to pay a club to take them. So keep them for insurance until the summer. The ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Friday 24th November) Could duo quit ER in January
Shacks has been a good soldier for us and is a useful player. He's not quite good enough that you want to regularly put him in the 11. And that's the rub. The club has served him sh*t on many occasions and like a good soldier he's taken it with a grin and asked for seconds. At his age he has to play...
