Re: Premier League clubs to consult players on 30% wage cut as resumption delayed

Liverpool in the last 2 released accounting periods have made a profit of £170million near enough. Liverpool have today announced some of the non playing staff will be placed on the Furlough scheme. Heavily criticised by Jamie Carragher and Stan Collymore. How the hell can a club that has made so m...

Re: Coronavirus.......LOCKDOWN IMMINENT!

It is with great sadness that I have to mention the loss of a few local businesses. A local bra manufacturer has gone bust, a submarine company has gone under, a manufacturer of food blenders has gone into liquidation, a dog kennel has had to call in the retrievers, a company supplying paper for or...

Ayala on a free would be a excellent signing Tough, aggressive, some would say a dirty sod but if we signed him Ayala would be our dirty sod :-D Can't stand Ayala but that's because he's a crafty as opposed to dirty player who seems to know where to be at the right times and always played well when...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wed 1st April) Soccer chiefs locked in talks regarding specially designed zorbing suits

There's no doubt that individually our players are average but have improved enormously under Messiah Bielsa and a lot of them would walk straight into most other championship teams only because most of them are below average themselves. The ultimate test is next season when we are in the PL and I t...

Re: Playlist over the last week......

Reading festival 1980 they stole the show. Absolutely. They had basically split up by then and hadn't played together for ages but Ozzy had to pull out of Reading and Slade got a call to stand in for him. Some stand in ! They blew the place apart which then kick-started another wave of success for ...

Never bought any of the Slade studio albums on vinyl or CD, maybe I should put that right. However, I do have the Very Best Of Slade (2CD set) which is an excellent compilation of their works Screenshot 2020-03-25 at 19.53.01.png Disc: 1 1. Get Down And Get With It 2. Coz I Luv You 3. Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tuesday 24th March) Season to be postponed until 1st June

Regardless of when the season resumes everyone is in the same boat. It's down to Bielsa and his boys to make sure we are fit and ready to go although it will feel strange to everybody that there's just 9 games to play. The layoff may well have played right into our hands , giving us time to re-charg...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Fri 20th March) Could training from home be a blessing in disguise

The players will be continually monitored make no mistake. Bielsa and his staff will know the implications of this layoff and will be checking daily on the players. This is no holiday for them, it's work which will have been drilled into them. I wouldn't like to be a player whose levels have dropped...
