Re: RIP To those departed - Maradona

Arguments will forever rage over who is the greatest player ever. Diego is certainly one of them. Such a shame his decline was accelerated by a cocaine addiction. At his best he was unplayable.

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wednesday 25th November) Orta outlines transfer window plans for January

An excellent synopsis of events leading up to "taking the knee" the first time... Which as Rab rightly points out, happened prior to the event what it is generally accepted for now. I do think though, that now we have No room for Racism arm bands, posters and adverts...taking the knee is now passed...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wednesday 25th November) Orta outlines transfer window plans for January

The January transfer window is generally a waste of time for the reasons outlined by VO. And given the fact it takes time to settle in to Bielsaball, it will probably be March before the signing is ready to challenge for a place. Taking the knee for BLM has run its course in my opinion. The police b...

Re: Politicly incorrect thread

I think we should probably move on now shouldn't we? Everyone has had their say, not everyone agrees with each other but I’m sure we all agree that we should respect each others right to hold those opinions. Finally a voice of reason. The only thing embarrassing is the length of time this argument ...

Re: Leeds Utd v Arsenal Match Thread - Raphinha, Phillips and Alioski start, Rodrigo makes the bench by

Meslier Ayling, Koch, Cooper, Dallas Phillips Raphinha, Rodrigo, Klich, Harrison Bamford This team is comfortable good enough to get a result at Everton for me. Let's get another clean sheet and push on for that goal :flog: That's probably the strongest team we could put out at the moment but I thi...

Re: Leeds Utd v Arsenal Match Thread - Raphinha, Phillips and Alioski start, Rodrigo makes the bench by

It depends on the quality at our disposal & the opposition we face. Last season we caught many teams out with our counter-attacking play, not so easy at premiership level as footballers in this grade are much more savvy, pacier, quality & a better positional sense. We have to remember we are still ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tuesday 24th November) - Some fans to be allowed back into stadiums after lockdown

Fans wont be allowed at ER, Anfield, Etihad, OT or in any of the northern Covid hotspots. As a regular attender watching Leeds live has been a big miss for me as with my bowls but I've accepted & prepared to make the necessary sacrifices if it means our country returns back to the way it was pre-co...

Re: Leeds Utd v Arsenal Match Thread - Raphinha, Phillips and Alioski start, Rodrigo makes the bench by

Just one thing - I very much doubt that Arsenal are now a top 6 team. I think they're referred to as one of the 'big 6' rather than top 6 due to the size of their crowds, money they can spend on players etc. I can't remember who they got Pepe from but they must be pissing themselves that Arsenal ga...

Meslier - 7 Made one excellent save, otherwise not tested much Ayling - 6 Not one of his better games, passing was frequently inaccurate Koch - 7 Much better tonight, I still think he wants to play too much football in our half though Cooper - 7 Glimpses of why he’s the most improved player at the ...

Re: Leeds Utd v Arsenal Match Thread - Raphinha, Phillips and Alioski start, Rodrigo makes the bench by

Really poor performance. I don't understand why Kalvin Phillips has been playing for England. Very slow and poor decession making all the time. As soon as the ball was played to him the speed of our attack was taken away. Really terrible passing from us through out the whole game. With these kind o...
