Re: Joel Piroe

I think Piroe's performance was much improved because people were passing to him so he was more involved. I think a lot of the time he has looked frustrated after getting into good positions and not being passed to.

Re: Southampton pre match chat

Part of the reason I wanted us to play Saints rather than WBA is that Corboran seems to have less of an ego over having to play 'his' way. He has shown that he can negate Leeds, to a large degree, and would have been prepared to alter tactics to negate us. Martin Russell appears to be more likely to...

Re: Leeds v Norwich 2nd leg - Post Match Discussion

As good as we were, if Sargent scores for 2-1 the game completely changes, as does the atmosphere, and I think we probably go on to lose. Everyone forgets Derby didn't even have a shot on target in both ties until we gifted them a goal. We have to take our chances at Wembley and can't afford to was...

Re: Leeds v Norwich 2nd leg - Post Match Discussion

Nostradamus, the enigmatic 16th-century seer, is often remembered for his cryptic prophecies that have fascinated generations. Among his predictions, there are those who interpret his quatrains as forecasting great victories against the odds. Leonardo Da Vinci, a contemporary of Nostradamus, embodi...

Re: Illan Meslier

Can't find a clip of the save but his plauer thread deserves a bump as well. Looked a nervous wreck in the 1st leg A save tonight of such massive potential importance that he deserves extra credit. Ampadu owes him a pint, wine, champagne, whiskey, whatever he wants. Well done Mes!!!!!! Possibly a c...

Re: Leeds v Norwich 2nd leg - Post Match Discussion

May need a rewatch tomorrow but some elements of past frustration seemed to not be so normal tonight? Rutter and Piroe as a pair have often been on eachothers toes leaving us no out ball, not tonight. Piroe stretched the play well and Rutter drifted in that 10 role. Georgie can sometimes come far t...

Re: Leeds vs Norwich positives and negatives

P: The celebration for the second goal with Summerville jumping onto Piroe. Great to see as I had wondered if there was a bit of friction between the two of them after the penalty incident and with both of them wanting to be top scorer. A definite togetherness amongst the team tonight which hopefull...

Re: Leeds v Norwich 2nd leg - Post Match Discussion

Just back from the game and tonight was complete and utter vindication for Farke and his style of football. The team were able to take the heat out the game when necessary whilst exerting total control. That ability to calm things down is something we've worked hard all season to perfect and tonigh...

Two complete non performances

Possibly the most meek performance in playoff history over the last 2 games.
5 play-off matches for Wagner and zero goals scored. Crazier than Jaydog on Red Bull

Just press 'back' if you can't.
It was a truly inspirational analogy involving the likes of Nostradamus, Leonardo Da Vinci, Clarke Carlisle, Joan of Arc, Brian the 3 legged sheep and Albert Camus. Completely forgotten it though now.

Re: Georginio Rutter-

Pablo would be proud. He stood up today. Excellent Georgie. Yeah I think it was an early run that he made that suggested he was back to his best. Got the ball, looked like he'd given it away but did his trademark speciality of somehow emerging with the ball and then went past a couple of players. L...

Re: Who do we want

Would be good to set the record straight and give Southampton a spanking. I have a feeling SOuthampton might suit us more. If we got WBA we'd be the overwhelming favourites and that could be bad for us, as evidenced when we got ourselves into a position where we were favourites to get promoted, it w...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Thursday 16th May) - 49ers tell Bundesliga outfit to stump up £15m for defender

Would anybody want a league without offside rules? I'd rather they just made it easier for themselves by ditching the stupid 'not interfering with play' interpretation. A player should be offside if they are in an offside position regardless of whether he is interfering or not. Simply be being on t...
