Re: Joel Piroe

I do think Ipswich would be a good move for Joel. Farke isnt going to use him rightly or wrongly. Piroe can score goals in the Championship, Ipswich are almost certainly getting promoted and Mckenna has shown a willingness to use his players from the previous season in the Prem. Can understand Joel ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wednesday 28th January) Relegation duo strengthen. Is time running out for Leeds

jealousy is a soul destroyer... seeing what other clubs are doing and wanting to do the same. they are getting players into their team and they're going to become so much better... poor poor pitiful me. West Ham have got two new strikers but they have done nothing, they are still relying on Bowden ...

Re: January transfers and squad discussion

YES THEY ARE. that's why sunderland brought what 8-9-10 players in the summer and teams in the bottom 6 have brought in a fair number this window I think in Sunderland's case they were willing to pay substantially more than we were offering for 2 or 3 players. Fair do they seem to have got it right ...

Re: Dominic Calvert-Lewin

Fair point. Is also the fact JFH was a much better player than DCLA (certainly as a goalscorer) so maybe Jimmy is saying what he may have been able to do but DCL can't. Saw Jimmy miss a fair few sitters too. Any striker can say what they would do, am sure DCL could pick out a chance Jimmy missed ...

Re: January transfers and squad discussion

why not if the club really needs money offer them to clubs at £5 million each. Okay so we sell Ramizanni for £5m. We bought him last year for I think around £11m on a 4 year deal. As such If we sell him for less than around £7m then we actually would make our FFP/PSR (Whatever the f*ck it is) worse. ...

Indeed. If you look at last year and Sheff U were the biggest movers in January signing the likes of Brereton-Diaz. He made such a difference he is now at mid table Derby. Often a telling reason why someone is available.

Re: Are you confident we'll make another signing in the January Window? - Poll of the Day (28th Jan)

I voted no but in all honesty I won't be disappointed if we don't sign anyone as I am happy with the squad we have and if we stay up I think we will be in a good position to have more options in the summer. For me I felt our biggest way to improve the side was if a no.10 became available - that ...

Harry just got his first goal for Rotherham. Header for a corner. Booked earlier. THe commentators loving him especially after he put in a great cross earlier. Looking a class above but his teammates struggling to get the ball to him.

Re: Championship Thread

Would it though? Expectations change as the season progresses. Is the Leicester manager expected to win the league now? No So it's better to be sh*t and then exceed low expectations? You have to look at the bigger picture, something lots of fans don't do. Like when we had Bielsa and for a long time ...

Re: Championship Thread

Every manager gets criticised. Nature of the beast :) He will be hammered though if Cov get caught. Often unfairly by armchair managers. To be fair to Lampard even if they slumped and ended up in the play-offs it would still be a decent season based on realistic aspirations at the start of the ...

In some alternative reality Hull would have accepted our offer and we'd have got him and not JKA. I believe our offer was basically the same as we did for JKA a loan with obligation to buy if we got promoted but Hull wanted guaranteed money.

I was thinking exactly the same, especially after scoring last time out. Thought he'd get 20 mins For all he got a cracking goal against Fulham he had been attrocious in his ball retention and his touch was reminiscent of Calrton Palmer. That said I would have liked to have seen him come on and ...

A bit premature to be talking about Bornauw as a guaranteed starter given his injury record. Jon Newsome was scathing about Bornauw's role in the goal we conceded.

Depends if that £2m takes us over the PSR limit. I would imagine we are very close to it and £33m may be our max offer.

It is the nature of the championship to have a sticky run over a 46 game season. Just look back to us when we got promoted under Bielsa. Sailing along looking guaranteed to romp away then an inexplicable loss of form, defeat after defeat but then we won 7 on the bounce. All about holding your nerve ...
