Re: What the pundits/press/coaches are saying about Bielsa's Leeds

Sunday Telegraph You have to admire the audacity of Bielsa in believing his side can outplay every team in the Premier League. He turns every game into a joyride although you are left wondering if he would be advised using the brakes occasionally It's like some of these journalists actually believe...

It wasn't the amount of goals conceded but the way they were conceded and just how shaky he looked.

Re: Cavani Racism Accusation - Sounds Familiar

Interestingly a year ago Kiko was picking up his award as the Championship player of the month for November. I don't disagree that it has worked out well in that it gave Messlier a chance that he has taken and he looks a very promising keeper but l see no need for people to continually knock Kiko - ...

Re: FA Cup Thread.

Hopefully we will be in a position where there are no excuses for not going for it. Last couple of seasons the priority had to be to not risk any injuries that could derail our league campaign. This season the main priority is avoiding relegation so hopefully we are looking comfortable on that score...

Re: Raphinha

Wolves have offloaded two duff expensive players to us twice now.Hopefully Orta has learnt not to take players on loan with a commitment to buy attached now - it didn't exactly work with JKA either.... Yet no one would have complained if Orta had managed to get a commitment to buy deal with White.

Re: Raphinha

Finds spaces and first touch is good. He doesn't need time to get the ball out from his feet but if you give him time you're gonna get punished. His drag back in the first half was superb, just a shame his finish was poor.

After watching BPF playing for Burnley v City today it makes Messlier look even better. Still can't believe we got £5m for BPF - about the same price we paid for Messlier.

Not just slagging the players off but basically questioning their honesty etc. Just way ott. End of the day he picks the side and he's bought the players so the responsibility lies with him. I doubt there is a single player there that he hasn't brought to the club, it isn't like he can come in, like...

Sheff Utd have not won a game in the league since this interview: wsKAoZ56QlM Methinks that Wilder lost his dressing room to an extent after digging out his players so much. Shocking interview and no surprise in my eyes if players that were giving it 100% for him would have been brassed off complet...

Re: Kalvin Phillips

Southgate must have enjoyed watching him tonight. I imagine Southgate watches the way we play and is completely clueless as to how we do it. With the players at England's disposal England should be able to play like Leeds but have the quality all over the park. Bielsa's Leeds would beat Southgate's...

Re: Positives & Negatives v Everton (a) one of each please

Negatives - Our finishing ( yet again ) I really hope Paddy isn't regressing to the Paddy of old. I have never been 100% convinced by his new found form in terms of clinical finishing - it may yet turn out to be a flash in the pan. PB has always been a streaky striker, it may be happening again. Th...

Re: The Leeds United Weekend Debate (28th/29th Nov)

Feels like I have been waiting all week for this. I would definitely like to see Rodrigo in the starting line-up as he offers more of a goal threat which for me is still our biggest weakness - if we'd scored first v Leicester or Palace I think we could have won both matches - or even if the Bamford ...

Re: RIP To those departed - Maradona

Maradona is, for me, the best player ever. Would agree 100% For me better than Pele as Pele was a great player in a Brazil team full of great players. Brazil would likely have won the world cup without Pele. Maradona almost singlehandly (pun intended) took an ordinary Argentina team to World Cup gl...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Monday 16th November) Keown rips into Bielsa ahead of Arsenal game

Keown basing his opinion on a very small sample size. Don't forget that this is essentially the same team as last season and is a team that conceded 10 goals in 4 championship matches including 3 to Cardiff and 4 to Birmingham so there is always the capability to have a rocky patch and conceded goal...

Likely them trying to go down the Lampard route again by putting Rooney in charge so they can use his contacts to get in high profile loan players.

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Thursday 12th November) - Under 21's outclassed by Blackpool

The night before Arsenal and Fulham U21s played similarly lower league opposition. The bookies had Arsenal U21s at around 4-1 to 5-1 to win in normal time and Fulham were at 6-1. This shows how even Arsenal U21s were vast underdogs against lower league opposition (both Fulham and Arsenal squandered ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tuesday 10th November) Hernandez told to bury hatchet with Bielsa

I love Marcelo to bits but if Bielsa hadn't made such a ridiculous substitution he wouldn't have a problem with Pablo now. In the end he has cut his nose off to spite his face which could have cost us from achieving any points at Palace. Equally though if Pablo had got injured a minute or two later...

Re: Liam Cooper

Too soon to judge for me given his injury hit start to the season. Little niggles for a defender can totally throw the timing of tackles so hopefully he can get back to 100% fitness soon. I do think if Llorente had been fit that Cooper may not have been rushed back so quickly.

Re: BielsaBall concern 2

All things considered just take our record in London over the last few years becuase why should we have fared better against a premiership side than we have done in recent seasons against the likes of QPR, Brentford, Millwall, Fulham etc? It is hardly like we have gone from steamrolling opposition e...
