Meslier - 7.5- No fault for the goal
Gray - 7 - Some fault for the goal but marshalled Clarke well for the most part
Spence - 7 - Patchy, would love to see him on the right
Rodon - 7 - Did ok
Struijk - 8 - Good game from Pascal for me.
Ampadu - 6.5 -
Summerville - 7 -Best shot of the game, couldn't seem to beat anyone
Kamara - 7.5 - Good game for the most part as basically a one man midfield, shocked he came off
Piroe - 5.5 - The toe poke aside he had 2/3 chances to play players through but over hit. again likely to be a conditions thing, Not really in the game apart from that
Georginio - 7 - Not his usual game but that kick and run style he has just wouldn't come off on the slick surface. Shocked he came off, he's the one that will create out of nothing
James - 6 - Lots of running, took the yellow but didn't really offer a threat

Gnonto - 7.5 - Better than James but again a touch wasteful
Bamford - 6 - Didn't get into the game
Anthony - 6.5 - Did ok
Joseph - 6 - Didn't get into the game ... the line up looked a hot mess at the end...

No complaints from me. They did a job on us and we couldn't find the answers. They sat deep in numbers, were aggressive in the tackle and looked to get forward quickly and tbf to them they could play a bit aswell. We were back to the sideways backwards stuff because of the lack of space upfront. When teams sit in like that you need a Pablo to pick the locks and neither Piroe, Jimmy or Rutter got going tonight. We lose ground on Ipswich who won again. What's going off there...Drugs test please...

Meslier 7: Much better tonight he looked more confident. I thought is kicking was more accurate and he made that excellent save.

Gray 6: Given the runaround by Clarke first half steadied himself after the booking. Doesn't get forward enough for me.

Rodon 6: He looked a tired at the end big joe. I'm guessing him and Pascal had the most touches on the pitch.

Struijk 5: Poor header out and they score from it.

Spence 7: He's going to be an asset going forward i can't really comment on the defencive side of things cos i can't remember much.

Ampadu 5: I thought it was a bitty scrappy performance from Amps. He seems to be dropping further back and it all gets a bit congested. When we have so much of the ball i think he needs to push on a bit more.

Kamara 7: He worked his kahoonas off and tried to get things going.

James 5: Barley touched the ball. They marked him out of the game.

Summerville 6: A couple of forays forward but they did a job on him for the most part. Aminated because he was getting nothing.

Piroe 5: No space for Piroe to work into.

Rutter 5: When he's not flowing we look seriously short of ideas.

As i said above credit to them they put in a shift. It felt like cup final effort from them... but i haven't seem them play to compare. I thought they would relent second half but they stayed strong. There won't be many teams that can keep that sort of effort and concentration up for 90+ minutes.

We go again against Coventry then onto Ipswich.

Piroe's form is waning but he still has 8 goals this season so very difficult to drop

I wasn't, thought Georginio was really poor!

He fell over & lost possession two or three times, putting our defence under pressure, with Sunderland breaking from deep causing us problems as a consequence!

Was about to start mine, but you’ve already put in the final word :)

I would’ve probably had Gnonto higher at a 7/7.5 and Struijk and Rodon both slightly lower at 7/7.5s, and Piroe matching James’s paltry rating, but really nothing to disagree with in your ratings there.
