Andy Powell & Ted Turner were a brilliant guitar duo back in the 70s, their unique guitar sound was something special for me, sheer ecstasy!

Glad to hear, Wishbone are still as good live. :-D

It amazes me, how so many old bands are still touring, must be very tiring at their ages on the road

Here's a list of them I've just read :

Simple Minds
The Damned
Echo & The Bunnymen
Lightening Seeds
Feeder
Rick Wakeman
Pretenders
Steve Hackett
Pet Shop Boys

Also there is a two separate festivals, a folk & a blues one on at Blackpool Winter Gardens in February, featuring Colosseum, Eric Bibb, Richard Thompson, Eddi Reader & Dean Friedman.

Steve Hackett hasn't aged since 1974. Would like to see him... never have.

Saw the Damned at Nostell Priory in '84... could've been '83.

Similarly to Jonny Greenwood.

Reading Top Rank for me, early 80's. 80 or 81 maybe, decent support from Chelsea and Anti Nowhere League I think

Really enjoying the Harp album

Adore Midlake's first three albums, Tim Smith departed the band & those magical songs weren't so apparent on 'Antiphon' & 'For the Sake of Bethel Woods' I feel.

That was my first gig that I went with friends rather than family.
It was 84’
The barrier fell down during the first song but luckily nobody was injured.

It was a hippy weekend with punk on the Friday night, the police raided it on the Sunday but were too late, 99% of the drugs were used up 😁

Aha! Yes, a bunch of us went with someone who'd only just passed his test... nearly died on the M1.

Seem to remember drugs openly on sale. Remember Marillion, Ten Years After, Phil Lynott not being very good...

Look Sharp, I'm the Man and Beat Crazy, are the ones. Night and Day was very vanilla imo. Jumpin' Jive was very well done

Beat Crazy had the best single line
"Never debate an idiot, they'll only drag you down to their level and they have the advantage of experience"
