"Stan the man" proper entertainer, saw him and best when they were both down there, obviously saw both at ER many times.
Thanks for letting us know.

Very sad, used to go see the R's with my QPR mate as it was easy to go to Loftus Rd in the late 70s and early 80s from our Poly and you could get in without hassle. Stan Bowles used to always entertain the crowd with something. Remember him doing keepy ups to get pass a couple of defenders. Had one peg but still could breeze past people.
Great entertainer.

Enjoyed Loftus Road immensely, usually had a few professional footballers standing around chatting. Managed to chat with Trevor Brooking once, as I was waiting with my cousin and uncle to watch QPR Leeds, for a while, did help he knew of my uncle a bit..

Arguably, England's finest spin bowler Derek Underwood passed away, age 78.

Slow left-armer Underwood took 297 wickets in 86 Tests between 1966 and 1982, the most by any England spinner.

He claimed 2,465 wickets in 676 first-class matches overall, representing only Kent, the county of his birth, in a stellar 24-year domestic career.
