Hobbies & Pastimes

Post by 1964white »

Unsure we've done a thread on hobbies but we'll give it a go !

So what are your hobbies, i suspect the majority of you know mine, i'll list them anyway

Following my beloved Leeds United home & away. Run the Leeds United East Yorkshire Supporters Club. Also a Rhino's fan (haven't been for a few years) & Yorkshire Cricket

Collecting CD's, generally play music every day of my life.

Loved playing sport all my life. Played football, cricket, rugby, tennis (badly) in my younger days. These days I concentrate my efforts on Indoor & Outdoor Bowls, been playing for over ten years, play a bit of pool & snooker too. Actively involved with the Middleton-On-The-Wolds Bowls Club arranging social events & dealing with advertising our club

Preparing & presenting Quizzes

Dining out at decent pubs/restaurants

Theatre, cinema & concerts

Holidaying & weekends around the UK

Days out in York & around the North Yorkshire moors

and of course

Marching On Together.....met some top people from this forum who i consider very good friends :-D

Watching Cricket, Mainly Northants (can't play any contact sport as a single blow to the head could blind me :( )
Leeds utd.
Motorbikes (Ride an R6)
Board games (modern "hobby games")
Music (mainly metal but anything with guitars with a few notable exceptions)
Computers
Books
Film
Every game I predict a 3 - 1 Leeds win, I am traditional like that.

Got the bug again to watch Yorkshire Cricket again after seeing them beat Somerset at Headingley last season, planning a couple of matches in the summer :-D

Post up a pic of the Lammie, Rat. I ride a pretty bog standard PX125 (84) but would love a GS. Don't have the funds currently, but it's on the bucket list!

Will do mate once I work out how to do it :-D I'll put up a pic of how it was pre- accident and how it is now as just back from the sprayers and looking pretty different. If you want any of the pics with the girls PM me with your email and I'll ping you some across, don't want to put them up here as I know a few kids and ladies read the forum.

Strange the impressions we get on the internet, I had you down as someone in your late 20's early 30's.

If you were from Liverpool you could still be a Grandad at those ages I suppose.

I wouldn't go as far as to say chef. amateur food enthusiast ha. I work at the hospital though so don't get as much free time as id like these days for all my hobbies.

Ah that genghers.... Can't lie. Drumming has taken me some pretty weird and wonderful places and met some equally weird and wonderful people. I spent many years playing shows / festivals / tours all over the UK and Europe but it got a little much in the end so not thrown myself back in as full on as I was a few years ago. Expecting my first kid next month too so I will probably have even less time ha.

I have two main hobbies. Playing the Ukulele and doing extreme gardening.
And also when the fancy takes me and I am in an interesting part of the countryside
I will load up C:geo on my phone and go geocaching.

I have a couple of youtube channels one for the Ukulele and the other for gardening
I spend lots of time making music or editing garden videos. I have recently become
a Youtube partner so that also earns me a small bit of cash. The gardening is more popular
than the music. Probably because I talk shite on the gardening channel.

Accidental music on the Ukulele
