Re: Snoddy's interview in the YEP today
I think he will be buying time to see who comes in over the next few weeks. Hopefully!

Yeah he is off.
“It’s been really frustrating and all the lads will stress that as well. We were wanting things to get better, but it hasn’t happened and it’s been very difficult.
“Personally, it’s been good in terms of being made captain. But I’ve had a few injuries, while my appendix got taken out and it’s been different things to contend with, really. It’s been difficult, the position in this league is the most important thing for me and it’s not got the club back to where it belongs and that’s why I’m very disappointed. I wanted to be the man to take them there.”

Re: Snoddy's interview in the YEP today
I'm gonna stick my neck on the proverbial line and say that he's gone.
Too much talking in the past tense and too much reference to the club in the third party. To be honest, I'd pretty much started building myself up that he'd be leaving when the article surfaced where he said that being captain was the last thing he felt he wanted to achieve.

Take the money & invest the bulk of it in bringing Jermaine Beckford back home
Also sign a pacy winger who can actually get round the back of a defence plus beat the first man when crossing the ball !

Beckford is now a better player after his experience in the prem with Everton, he is a natural goalscorer & more importantly Jermaine loves Leeds Bruv

Re: Snoddy's interview in the YEP today
He certainly has his doubts and it feels like those doubts are growing. He's talking about waiting weeks before deciding. Obviously waiting to see what signings we make and allowing time for offers to roll in from other clubs. I wonder if one of the newly promoted clubs may make a bid for him?
I don't think we can wait the whole summer for him to decide and then potentially let him go at the last minute. If he is going to go, Warnock needs to know soon so he can sell him and use the cash to buy new players, fill his position and choose a new captain. I think Warnock will have to push him on a decision by the beginning of June at the latest and probably after he returns from his holiday in Cornwall. Warnock has said he wants to get the team sorted out quickly so they have time to gel during pre-season and with so many changes to be made that makes sense.
I'll be gutted if he leaves, but if he is going to, better to get it sorted sooner rather than later. Are we ever going to get to the point where our top players sign new contracts?

I live in hope that the day our players are signing new contracts in plenty of time before they run out are only round the corner but i do fear that we may have lost Snoddy.CardiffWhite wrote:He certainly has his doubts and it feels like those doubts are growing. Re: Snoddy's interview in the YEP today
I was discussing Snoddy with some mates after 5-a-side on Monday...
Time to 'rip the band-aid'... Snoddy [along with Becchio] is really the only remaining member of that promotion winning side..... lets just move Snoddy on, grab the cash, and put together a NEW team of heroes...
Snoddy will always be a Leeds legend in my eyes, along with Beckford, Howson, Naylor, Hughes etc... but they are from a different 'era'
Jason Pearce for captain!
