Let Bygones Be Bygones & Show More Respect To One Another
I haven't attacked UKIP members Norm (or if I have, I apologise - it was inadvertent). I have and will continue to criticise UKIP who I regard as a party with dangerous ideas.
Bates, GFH, Cellino: Same s**t, different arseholes.
Re: Let Bygones Be Bygones & Show More Respect To One Anothe
I don't think Joe should have a UKIP logo as his avatar if he's going to get upset when people challenge that. This is a football forum, and I think politics should be steered clear of (unless it's a specific thread) as it's one of the most divisive topics and can easily lead to forming opinions of posters without taking their position into account.Norm wrote:Lest we forget, did you censure him when he was attacking any UKIP members on this site for no reason at all except for his own political beliefs?
Some of these members, by the way, have stopped posting on here. There's lots of BS on this and any other site, but to have the beast unleashed without consequence or admonishment is surely a travesty.
For the record, on a personal level I like GW immensely. I loved his posts about him and his dad a few years ago and I value him as a very important member of this forum and the human race, but his desire to denigrate anyone whose political allegiances differ from his is a big minus point in his application for sainthood.
Re: Let Bygones Be Bygones & Show More Respect To One Anothe
Politics and religion are part of those topics that can go wrong pretty quickly. Unless it is stated otherwise at the start of the thread, I think it should be left out of topics altogether. We can dream though.Genghers wrote: I don't think Joe should have a UKIP logo as his avatar if he's going to get upset when people challenge that. Bloody hell... it's taken me four evenings to read through all this..
I remember this place (back in the good ol' days) when we had an obscure thread started by a former poster called Steve that was called something like 'Warning: gratuitous images' which went on for pages and pages of members all posting daft and sometimes close to the bone jokes/images of each other which everyone took in good jest....
People valued opinions, agreed to disagree - we had the positive posters, we had negative posters, we had prominent members and posters who would appear and disappear but were always made welcome by everyone and the key feature for this forum (and the reason why I joined way back when) was that people could post without fear of recrimination or people posting personally directed abuse that are often prevalent on most websites where human beings can post messages, have a giggle with each other and pass the time with folk who all have one key common want... success for the club we all follow.
Ultimately in life we all meet people we get on with and people we don't - and as with life you can choose to converse with those people or not and you can apply the same rule of thumb to all aspects of the internet... don't like it - don't read it...
Personally I think you're all lovely people...

Think if the whole forum get together we may be able to. It could be a bonding session to get the harmony back.

I liked her too - I always tried to calm her down when she got upset. I think she was (is) a lonely sad person but she was part of us, had committed no crime and just wanted a bit (alright a lot) of attention. I kind of miss her.Wolfetoneleeds wrote:

In this spirit of letting bygones be bygones and reconciliation what does everyone say to letting Jo back on the forum?Norm wrote:

She has asked if she can be allowed back.
