Bring back Jesse

Post by Irish Ian »

Our goal yesterday had me thinking.

It was something made out of last season, lose it twice, win it back and stick it into the centre of the goal from 12 yards.

Perhaps that is what this team needs.

The return of Jesse.

Mother Theresa. Ghandi. Forrest Gump.

Oh while we are at it when did Peacock Farrell come back? Either that or Meslier has been studying his methods.
Awful keeping again

Not naming names but someone has already compared the Daniel Farke style to the Great One.
That’s Marsch btw.

TBF, Jesse’s teams had one thing this team lacks…FIGHT.

Also, a greater sense of urgency and pace in possession.

Ironically, same formation…

Watching that moment shocked me.
What were the defenders doing?
Is it DF's system of watching where the ball is or just the defence being undrilled and as we see in the picture all at sea?

Bring back captain Cooper we need leadership at the back then Amps into DM to find Jimmy and Gnonto down the wings and Bamford waiting in the centre.

DF's bandalore career at Norwich isn't something ER wants. The ups yes, but not the downs of being spanked hard (along with Ipswich) in the top flight.

I don't know.

DF has tried to play it off as a "wild style" risky performance man for man (that isn't man for man).

But his teams had a reputation for conceding lots of goals.

Maybe we've just reverted to type last 5 or 6 and this is just what it's usually like?

That above is pathetic, everyone chasing the ball exactly like Jesse, attacks very narrow as well recently

If we bring back big Jesse, then it can only happen if he wears a big girl's blouse.

How come are six players unmarked?

Once again, players at the back post left in oceans of space, four of them

Poor pic quality but left to right it looks like Rodon, Kamara, Gruev, Ampadu, Byram, Firpo and Piroe ?

You’d need some balls to do that in fairness

That picture is shocking, in what it shows. Our defenders should be embarressed to see that. What on earth were the defenders thinking during that attack. OK, i know, not much thinking was going on at all.

Ball watching and not a clue where the opposition are, how did we get from one of the best defences to this ? Primary 4 stuff.

Maybe it’s an intentional defence formation designed to stop anything getting through. I don’t have the exact German-English translation, but I think it’s called “the Berlin Wall”.

And as history will record, nothing ever got through the real version.

That picture needs to be pinned on the dressing room wall with a message stipulating "I don't want to ever see schoolboy defending again".

Yes....where are all the people that were bitching about the "narrow formation" under Marsh?

Have they not noticed how this team plays? Do they not care because the results have mostly come? (In a MUCH lower standard league.). Or do they just not have the tactical nous to see it?
