The forward is a live wire anticipating that loose ball resulted in a foot race. Firpo accelerates like an Austin Allegro. Lots of issues with that goal before it went loose.

Boro deserve a lot of credit taking us on.

Meslier not doing well at the back.
Looks jittery.

Gray lucky is poor pass to Jimmy ended up in the net. But having an extra body in there will help.

Great game.
Watching it again I think he’s ready to gather up the ball but Rodons tackle has him clutching at where the ball was.
It was the cruel deflection that took Ampadu out that caused that goal imo.

He’s been really solid at times too.

No talk of subs. Makes a change.

We will need fresh legs at some point. Who and when?

Rutter may not hold up.
Byram may run out of steam.

Just like the Hull game we are letting them have such easy possession....what sort of tactic is that ?

Need to profit from the next counter. We will open them up - I have no doubt. Just need to stay solid in the meantime defensively

Boro play nice football.

Byram may run out of steam.
I’d bring Kamara on for Byram (and switch Archie to RB), and then bring on Dan James for Rutter thereby allowing Willy and Jimmy to interchange at the 10 spot.
