Thankfully because we have other strikers and they have been doing well it has hopefully meant Bamford has been given enough time to well and truely be over his injuries and past the stage where you injure a different part of your body as you are overprotecting the part you had injured previously.

The goal will hopefully give him confidence and we will see what the best version of Bamford is capable of. It will be great if he can be a useful weapon for us as it does allow us to play differently and it may be a way of helping us break down defences if he can occupy defenders and give more room to the likes of Cree, Rutter and James.
If Bamford can stay fit it will give DF a very good option either as a starter or coming off the bench. Maybe a player that does not need to play full matches. Just on the basis of the last game against a very poor and out of sorts Birmingham, so it's hard to properly judge, Bamford chased and harried their back line and also gave our wide men and the defence a focus point for a long ball in to him. The opposition had something different to think about.

To be fair, PB coming off the bench in the last few games has been something of an embarrassment as he barely got a kick and was completely anonymous. It was starting to look as if his time at Leeds United was coming to an end. DF had the team playing differently in a style not suited to the way PB likes to and just getting a sliver of time towards the end of the game was not doing anyone any favours.

Anyway, lets see. Bamford could just relaunch his career after a horrendous time with injuries. He is too good to be thinking about ditching him

I suspect if he is shipping Joseph and Gelhardt out on loan this window (as some reports are suggesting) he is likely looking to bring another 9 in. I think Lawrence Shankland would be a decent shout.

Bamford has had too many injury issues during the past two years to rely on him. I hope he can keep a clean bill of health because I agree a fit and sharp Bamford will have a key part to play.

But WTF do I know.

Very much like what I saw with Bamford up top and Rutter playing the 10.

Now let's see if it works against quality opposition. Try it again vs Cardiff. If it works against a decent side away from home then that may have an impact on the way we approach the rest of the window.

A flat opening 25 minutes & the final 15 minutes with virtually nothing happening in those periods

Rutter/Rodon/Summerville/James all shining.

Bamford's industrious work up top pays off.

Once again, we can't score from a free-kick

How the hell did Bucana avoid not only a yellow card, but an early bath?

Three goals & three points plus a clean sheet, what more could we ask for? :-D

Throughout the decades, we have been blessed with quality, influential centre-backs & generally they are one of my favourite players at the time.

In recent years my admiration for Pontus, White & now Rodon has been immense!
