It never felt comfortable that game even when they went down to 10. In saying that the lads controlled the last 10 minutes for the most part. I thought Farke should have bought on fresh legs earlier, especially Gnonto & Anthony and maybe Bamford as Rutter was frustrating. Boro were never going to change how they play even with 10 so i thought fresh legs could have pressed a bit better.

Meslier 7: One cracking last ditch save and distribution was good for the most part.
Gray 9: First half was the best i have seen him. He was unplayable. Understandably dropped a little in the 2nd half. I think he gets the assist.
Rodon 8.5: Another good solid game from big Joe. We need to tighten up on set-pieces tho.
Struijk 8: Ditto
Byram 8.5: I thought he should have done better with their 2nd. I would have to watch it back but i'm not sure their player knew much about it. Got his assist and good going forward.
Ampadu 7.5: A couple of lapses again but some really controlled stuff. Should have had an assist when Rutts fluffed his lines.
Kamara 7: Not quite as effective today but still nice and tidy. For the second game we looked short of bodies in midfield and Boro used the space well.
James 9: I thought he was excellent throughout. Good wing play, desire for his header and Boro kicked him up in the air and payed the ultimate price.
Summerville 9: Worked tirelessly throughout. He really has worked on the defencive side of his game. Great header and always a threat running with the ball.
Piroe 6: Great penalty. It looks like we may have solved that at last. Some decent touches but not involved enough overall and good teams exploit his lack of defencive knowhow.
Rutter 6: Always a nuisance but he was frustrating the hell out of me second half. He had 2 left footed winklepickers on again today. Won us the penalty.

Another 3 points in the bag against a dangerous side who will give most teams a good game on that evidence.

Meslier-7. .made a decent save, wasn't massively at fault (all be is being beaten near post is a habit)

Gray-9 . .an offensive masterclass from the teenager.

Byram-8.5 . Defensive immense I felt.

Struijk -6 . Dodgy, careless, needs to fix it quick.

Rodon-8.5 . Solid again, great use of the ball and goal saving block.

Ampadu-6 . Few errors, looked a bit tired.

Kamara-7 . Similar to Ampadu.

James-9. Really really involved all game, brilliant.

Summerville-9 . A standard performance.

Piroe-6.5. Nice pen, tidy touches, still doesn't seem to thrive in our team though.

Rutter-6 . Poor, looked tired, wasteful, ineffective, a rare off day.

Struijk 6 (caught out of position several times - Farke may be at fault for that)
Byram 8 (another creative performance)
Ampadu 6 (his most anonymous game for us so far)
Kamara 8 (always putting in the important touches)
James 7 (lots of good endeavor and winning the header against 2 bigger defenders)
Summerville 8 (another goal and always our biggest threat)
Piroe 7 (quiet game, would have been a 6 if not for his penalty)
Rutter 6 (some good touches as usual but very wasteful)

Had to leave the house before the game was over, so I didn't get to see the last 20 minutes until today.......

Meslier - 6.5 - Yes, he was beaten to the near post, but there was no stopping that shot
Gray - 8.5 - MOTM performance.
Rodon - 8 - We need to make his move permanent.
Struijk - 6.5 - Bad day at the office
Byram - 8 - Good day at the office. Kept popping up exactly when and where he was needed
