If you look at the sums paid for Walcott and Oxalade-Chamberlain as promising youngsters I'd say Byram would be markedly undervalued at 2m.

Let's just hope GFHC have their heads in the right place with policies like this. Developing your own talent is a fantastic strategy, and one that can work at a club of our size that shouldn't need to sell players in order to compete. Makes it very hard to stick to this strategy when you're selling off every whiff of talent at the first opportunity.
