Could have been worse.
Oh how I hate this round. Leeds and upsets are very closely linked.

Re: FA Cup 3rd round draw
With Posh being top of Div 1 and playing our reserves, they would be favorites you would think, so an upset would be fine.VinnysTattoo wrote: ↑Sun Dec 03, 2023 1:07 pm Could have been worse.

Re: FA Cup 3rd round draw
13 away draws in a row a fa cup record.
Re: FA Cup 3rd round draw
Peterborough V Leeds, another 3rd round draw away from home

Re: FA Cup 3rd round draw
Ooh, I might be able to get a ticket to that.
I wonder what price the bookies would have given you at the start of the run. 13 away draws in a row is incredible.
I'm convinced our ball has something on it that identifies it as our ball so the person picking the away side always picks it
Its a conspiracy I tell ya.

Re: FA Cup 3rd round draw
Nothing posh about Peterborough, not the area i stumbled into anyway. Tough game but one that Joffy, Joseph & Jesus will be well up for.
Re: FA Cup 3rd round draw
London Road is a horrible ground with archaic facilities.
Certain to be one of the TV matches.

The Orton area of Peterborough is as rough as a bears arse.

Aldershot still in with a chance to play at the Hawthorns in round 3

Re: FA Cup 3rd round draw
What's the betting we'll play a load of players who haven't played for months (Gelhardt, Gyabi, Cresswell) and they'll be out of match sharpness and then we lose?

Re: FA Cup 3rd round draw
Very high I'd say, and it will be "evidence" that a thrown together 11 with little or no game time "proves" that the youth and depth aren't good enough. Facile argument but it would get made

Re: FA Cup 3rd round draw
The team will probably be something like this:
Darlow
Ayling
Cresswell
Cooper
Firpo
Gnonto
Shackleton
Gruev
Anthony
Gelhardt
Bamford

Firpo, do you want to lose this game ?

Re: FA Cup 3rd round draw
I didn't say it would be the team I would pick
However, he will probably be back from his injury about then so is likely to start along with all the others who are currently not starting games.

Re: FA Cup 3rd round draw
Other championship clubs would call that strength in depth. According to reports Blackburn would kill for that line up this weekend.
