Re: Album of 2015 - BB Billie Cat Durly Gandi Ian John Norfolk Onemore 1304 to VOTE

Post by Muppet the Cat »

Having never heard of most of these they took some getting through (bit easier when working from home).

However, having done so:
5pts - Kurt Vile
4pts - Riverside (liked  )
3pts - Kontiki Suite (also liked  )
2pts - Adele
1pt - Ezra Furman

(I do really like the Stressed Out track off the 21 Pilots album faaip, but not much of the rest of it I'm afraid)

Sorry, I am a bit swamped just now and have not had time to hear any of the submissions. The only ones already familiar to me are Kurt Vile (decent record) and Adele (not a fan). So in fairness, I will sit this one out.

The Thompson album is excellent, one of the RT albums missing on my shelves

Thank you for the Holter vote, a lovely album which is a real grower!

Still wide open at the top with DURLY & 1304 to vote before we can move onto one of the superlative years of music 1966

David Gilmour --- how I wish he spent more time in the recording studio. In any tongue is just beautiful. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=foVY5kLqp6w

With just Durly to vote, will the Kurt Vile album hold onto the lead ?

When we are at the appropriate favourite 70's year Cat, pm me your choice & I promise you the priority first pick :)

Looking likely you have found the winning Album of 2015

I know, surprise or what

It's a good album, but if that's 'album of the year' standard it only probably indicates that 2015 wasn't a vintage year for 'standout' offerings :duno:

I own the Kurt Vile album but rarely play it.

As Faaip posted prior to this poll 2015 was a poor year for music!
