Re: Player Profile : Luke Ayling
I also say keep the bugger, he may occasionally go missing, but if we are wondering where he is.... so are the oppostion, and it keeps them on their toes..
Apart from a bad patch when he came back from injury, he did well... just needs to learn where the goal is....

Re: Player Profile : Luke Ayling
Unless there is better within the current squad, then yes. Perfect for the system Bielsa plays, and if he had more composure in front of goal, he'd chip in with a few too.
Yes; even if someone overtakes him, he's good competition and cover
Only if he wants to leave
Form dipped badly when he came back from injury, but consistent performer either side of that, 7/10

I’d retain him initially as a starter, but we need somebody to put some pressure on him,
6.5/10 for the season, played well overall but struggled coming back from injuries

Love Ayling. Good defender and always gives his all.Passing should be better and is prone I suppose to Lapses in that aspect though he is very experienced and can keep his head . Well worth retaining .
I'd say he deserves his place in team & next season is probably his pinnacle one. Good Luck me 'ol Son.
Rating is 8 from me , experienced ,versatile tenacious and always a 100% type of Geezer.

Re: Player Profile : Luke Ayling
Retain definitely, and also a 7/10.
He seemed to be getting better towards the end of the season, so we may see more from him after another preseason with Bielsa.

Re: Luke Ayling
No, not having that - all our players are sh*t.
Our players have generally all been decent all season bar from putting the ball in the net. That is why Bielsa keeps picking them and if he could get them to put the ball in the net more often then all the idiots having pops at him would acknowledge him for the genius he is. If we had players that were going to be able to put the ball in th net more often than the players on the field I am sure Bielsa would be picking them but as a collective this team gives him everything he asks for in terms of playing how he wants them to and working as hard as he wants them to.
Re: Luke Ayling
Luke is in the finest form of his Leeds career
Re: Luke Ayling
It seems only a short while ago I preferred Dallas at rb and Alio at lb, and didn't think Bill would be getting in the team. Fortunately, Stuart can play at lb as well!
Re: Luke Ayling
Ayling has received a lot of stick in the past, I believe there is not a better RB in the championship
Re: Luke Ayling
He seems to be getting more marauding as the season develops. It’s almost as if he has a ‘licence to thrill’
