Newcastle fans getting very excited again.

Amanda Stavely is back.

This time she has got the backing of Britain's 2nd richest family and crucially the Saudi Royal family.

Newcastle on brink of taking any hope Manure fans had of catching City in the near future?

Also given the rivalry between the Qatari's and the Saudis this may actually speed up our long rumoured takeover?

Looks like Newcastle fans are finally going to get there wish.

The Saudi Wealth Fund and the mega rich Ruebens brothers are taking over

Not directly linked to us but with Abu Dhabi and Saudi Arabia (if it goes through) owning Premier league clubs the rivalry between the Arab states may push Qatar in to action?

Would never have been in this mess with QSI . . . . .

Weird how our fans have just allowed this golden ticket to be dangled and taken away for a s**t sandwich with some venture capitalists and not said anything.

Human rights etc but Radz has gotten his money from some very dodgy people as have half the Prem with Chinese and Egyptian owners to name.juat 2

Marsch OUT

Football has undergone a process of bielsification; pressing and possessing, passing rather than dribbling, intercepting high up the field rather than making last-ditch tackles, are in vogue.

Marcelo Bielsa. The light that will never go out.

Thank God. I'd rather be in the conference than have them for owners.

That sounds like the Newcastle fans with their "well other owners are bad too and like it's all the same" excuses and equivocation.

FSG are different level to our lot, it's like comparing the bloke who owns a few local chippies to Alan Sugar.

Besides bet you can't name another successful one? They are literally the only one

Besides that they aren't universally popular with Liverpool fans due to lack of ownership investment (less than Brighton) and the fact they conspired with another American owned club to try and ruin the English game and the European one.

And finally Liverpool and us aren't comparable.(neither are Manure) because both of them had massive massive commercial incomes that could sustain an American sports model.

We don't.

Radz made the money he invested in us by selling to a Chinese state funded company.

China is one of the worst countries in the world for human rights violations (worse than Qatar) with genocide amongst other things.

Radz also took.us to Myanmar and made even more money (he actually used the club to aid this money making scheme) another country with a genocide taking place.

Without the money of regimes committing genocide Radz wouldn't have been able to buy and fund this club in the first place.

Does it mean Qatar is right for what it does? Absolutely not.

But Qatar arent comparable to Saudi Arabia incidentally (a far worse regime according to Amnesty International as are China and Myanmar).

None of this makes Qatar right but isn't it rather hypocritical to yell and scream about how QSI would be an awful owners when the club is funded by money gotten from far worse places?

Bielsa incidentally willingly worked for QSI on more than one occasion, a man of great principle apparently, so can't be that bad surely?

I can't believe there aren't any Leeds fans with decent whack. Mind you, Mel Morris was a Derby fan, so being owned by a fan doesn't mean we can't be badly owned.

Wish Russell Crowe had bought us.

Again, that's exactly what I'm saying, the whole "X worked with Y who knows Z" equivocation.

The accusation against City and Newcastle owners is not that they did business with China or Saudi Arabia or the club's toured there. It's that they are the despots, they are the regimes with appalling human rights abuses.
