Re: QSI In Talks With Radz
So, a small investment being talked about now, maybe 10% for £7-10m.
Re: QSI In Talks With Radz
Would start to look like a lot of cooks in there...
Can imagine that there will be some kind of incentive for QSI in there if they do invest... maybe first refusal when we are promoted?
Would still rather not get taken over by these guys, but a £10m investment would presumably mean we can bring in at least one quality player.
Re: QSI In Talks With Radz
Yes, the rumours seem to be saying there's the possibility of future 'investment'.
Presumably Radz knows he can't fling money at it this year, but he'll obviously get a better price if he sells when we're up.
Mention of Bielsa being involved in the meetings at some point, presumably to make sure he's still on board with whatever is decided. I'd love to know what he's thoughts are on this.

Re: QSI In Talks With Radz
So as Phil Hay says, mixed messages about this.
English "sources" say nothing is happening.
Plenty of foreign and international ones (reputable ones tbf like the New York Times and the Financial Times and L'Équipe) say something is happening.
But nothing from the club officially, why not? Radz has never been shy before, he shot down the Daily Mail when they did that article fast enough.
Do MOT posters think that its all nonsense or?

Think 64 is right. There has to be something in it. Theres be no rebuttal from the club officially. Dont think its a fall takeover but definitely investment with a view to taking over in the future.Cjay wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2019 10:04 pm So as Phil Hay says, mixed messages about this.

Why can't you chuck buckets at it, others do and the consequences are jack s**t. If promoted the Premier league aren't going to deduct points look at Leicester they negotiated a fine, its all about manipulation of figures. Or Radz is a bit thick

Villa probably will fail the EFL Ffp rules this season, nothing will happen.

Re: QSI In Talks With Radz
Did you not notice Birmingham getting a hefty points deduction this year? If it was Leeds there would be no way they would hand us the points deduction at a point of the season where a points deduction would be irrelevant - they'd make up new rules like they did when we were deducted 10 points and then a further 15.Mick Jones shoulder wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2019 8:56 am Why can't you chuck buckets at it, others do and the consequences are jack s**t. Re: QSI In Talks With Radz
I fail to see what good would come from this. We get a load of PSG youth on loan, are they any better than our own? PSG aren't renowned for a great academy like Lille, Lyon, Le Havre etc. We are essentially going to become their feeder club then. Also no Champions League ever, so what is the ultimate ambition?
Not convinced they've been great owners at PSG either. All they've done is destroy Ligue 1, they have failed in the UCL. Also I fail to see infrastructure or academy improvements under their ownership. Not to mention the corruption charges and UEFA investigations etc. We could do without all that sh-t again.
You can't just throw money at it, as we would fail ffp and yes, the rules will change if Leeds get promoted doing it.

Yes I did bud, same league , not the prem completely different kettle of fish. Ok for arguments sake Villa fail, efl rules now dictate a points deduction re Birmingham.weasel wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2019 9:27 am Did you not notice Birmingham getting a hefty points deduction this year? Do you really think a newly promoted side would be given a 10 point deduction, its not happening. It should in all fairness.
Our deduction was within the same framework though dropping a division. We all know the the Premier league write their own rules forget the EFL. The game has gone to the dogs it revolves around cash unfortunately.

Re: QSI In Talks With Radz
yes but it's promotion or bust. In fact it could be premiership or div 1 the following season. If teams keep breaking FFP the penalties will have to go up ...Be interesting to see how Boro fare in court v Derby too...
There was no points deduction rule in place for 15 points, it was added after and applied retrospectively. They then blackmailed us by withholding the golden share.

Re: QSI In Talks With Radz
Plus adding 15-25 Mill in talent plus wages doesn't mean we'd do better next season. We could add that and more and still finish mid table ...

I'd be very surprised if we arent Qatari owned 100% within the next 18months.

Nothing is guaranteed of course but had we got the 1st choice targets MB wanted each window, Vydra, Harry Wilson/Harvey Barnes and Dan James then we win the league imo, no question.
Give MB a better calibre of players which maybe QSI could then its hard to see us not going up.

Re: QSI In Talks With Radz
It is only an opinion and with no basis better than my .if Roofe plays all 46 games at striker he scores 30 plus and we go up. Massive doses of hindsight there too. James had done little till the second half of the season and a fair chance, 50/50 imo that James hardly sees the field had he signed for us. Our agreement was almost play OR pay for Harrison, my guess is Bielsa agreed to play Harrison when he got him off his student.

Re: QSI In Talks With Radz
If so bloody stupid. As you say last season has gone and people can debate the if he played or we had bought x till the cows come home makes bugger all difference. Let's hope we don't repeat the failures again though.
Re: QSI In Talks With Radz
This is Leeds United, lessons are never learnt regardless . Harrison will be back next season to the detriment of the club. He is the first weak link in the jigsaw. People say "but defensively he's good" which is debatable but offensively he is a complete failure . The whole left side is sub standard but I guess we'll start with Douglas/Ali/Harrison in any old order but the same dross in any case.
