Just sat down for five minutes after doing three hours gardening & Leon has asked me to draw out the winning song out of a bag. Anyway I picked out the Al Green song. Now that's over with & my horses are on I can get some peace now :)

2000's were already looking dodgy ...Al Green winning has shut me out of that decade.

Sorry Faaip & Ges, wouldn't have bothered me if 'Every Girl' won as it is a decent new song

I did wonder why you voted for Every Girl in the first round but left it out in the second.

Had 'Every Girl' been drawn against five of the other songs in the quarters it would have got my vote

I love every song in the semi-finals apart from one so nine of the ten matches are a tough call for me

I'll admit I'll sometime vote against a particular song rather than for a particular song. It wouldn't take much for me to vote against Nightswimming but it's just good enough to vote for in this case.

Summer Breeze is the better song but I love Spanish Stroll so that wins ..

Had that been Sara Smiles or She's Gone maybe Rich Girl for H&O then absolutely gets a vote but those two are not their best work.

If you're going to listen to H&O then Abandoned Luncheonette is the album

No problem Cat, I will be voting for MdV, as it is my preference. Had an inkling that the two songs would be drawn out of the magic hat ;-)

Peter Green killing the 60's.

Love both Free songs, but I had to vote for mine. (TBH I thought Wishing Well had already been nominated, otherwise I might have chosen it myself !)

Summer Breeze has one of the best guitar solos of the 70's, which is quite amazing for a soul band.

Yes just a bit special as is the guitar solo at the end of the Carpenters song 'Goodbye To Love'
