More shocking news for Mrs 64 & I....update

Just had a phone call from Steve that his dear wife Kath passed away an hour ago. Our best friends who we visit in Wales regularly & we go on holiday with to Cornwall every year

Just back from Wales after two horrendous journeys due to numerous roadworks, half-term & generally poor driving causing gridlock congestions. M1/M42/M5 were like car-parks

Steve & family so appreciative to see us, all very sad

Spoke to Steve this morning, he seems to be holding up well & has his family supporting him. I only wish we were not so far away so we could be there for him too !

Kath's funeral

A very distressing sad occasion. Kath was truly loved by everyone, full of kindness & never had a bad word to say about anyone. Church was packed of course, even the vicar had tears in his eyes as he paid Kath the highest accolade by saying he generally does three funerals a week & that she was one of only two people he had met with an aura about her who had the devine spirit sitting on her shoulders. Kath will be sorely missed & has left a gaping hole in everybody's life who knew her

Jill & I still finding our loss difficult to come to terms with
