Re: So...do you hate Scum most of all?
Scum have got to be up there if only because their fans insistence on having a monopoly on the term 'United'. Others mentioned hold a special place of loathing too. Villa (although always used to have an admiration for them) Chelsea Derby Forest Brentford (Think im still sour about them derailing ou...

Re: League One ref charged with misconduct...
I would hate to be ref in todays society, where it's everyones fault but yours, I could never be teacher or a copper with the youth of today, they all deserve a good smack Teaching isn't so bad Velo. Kids are pretty mouldable until they reach a certain age. All about building in good working relati...

Defensive injury crisis
Following the BBC coverage of transfer deadline day got me thinking. A lot is being made in the press about Liverpool's supposed 'injury crisis' and that they have been forced to use 12 different centre half combinations this season. I went back through our games and found AT least 12 different comb...

Apologies you're spot on. Will amend now.rich_leeds64 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 10, 2021 8:35 am I’ve just checked, it was 2002/3 when we got to the 6th round getting KO’d by Sheffield United who also KO’d us out of the League cup 3rd round earlier in the season.

Re: The LUFC Weekend Breakfast Debate - Crawley/FA Cup
Got bored and researched the draw over the last 20 years. Below are ALL the times we have been drawn at home with the team it was against and the round we were drawn at home against them: 2015/16 x1 vs Rotherham (3rd) 2012/13x2 Vs B ham (3rd) and Tottenham (4th) 2008/09 vs Northampton (1st) 2003/04 ...

Re: Tier 4
Living in Oxfordshire now so smashed into Tier 4. A weird quirk is that 2/3 miles down the road is Tier 3 Swindon. We are in a super rural area of Oxfordshire so don't really understand why Tier 4 but hey ho. The irony is, its deemed not safe for me to go and see anyone/ mix with family. But perfect...

Could have another Rodrigo on the way. Rodrigo De Paul is being looked at from Udinese. Argentinian midfielder/10. Phil Hay says the club haven't denied interest either.

Re: Rodrigo
This would be a quality signing imo. Never understood the clamour for Watkins (not very often that a Championship top scorer goes up a division and does well, for every Vardy there is a Gayle or a Mitrovic or a McCormack). This guy looks like a handful and realistically wouldn't be leaving Valencia ...

Re: Nicolas Gonzalez
Personally id rather spend £15-20mil on someone like Gonzalez then £20-30mil on someone like Ollie Watkins. I would argue that its as hard to get a cap for Argentina as it is for England if not harder. The list of attacking players Argentina have compared to England is probably better on paper and ...

Re: Our front three...
So our current front three - Bamford, Costa and Harrison managed a grand total of 26 goals last season ( 16 for Bamford, 6 for Harrison and 4 for costa ) If you add the combined total of appearances for all three players, it comes to a grand total of 134. So that works out at an average of one goal...

Re: Player Ratings v Swansea
Meslier- 7 - Not a HUGE amount to do but acquitted himself well when called upon. Seems much safer at corners than Kiko did. Ayling- 8 - How much energy does this guy have, busting a gut to get the ball into the box. Cooper- 8- Very solid at the back, Swansea caused very few problems for us. White- ...

Re: Should Statues Be Dismantled ?
Just feels like British history is being tossed out of the window I will tackle this as a History teacher. I can see your viewpoint and understand, but arguably, we ignore A LOT of British history anyway. In the classroom (I can attest to this) we discuss the American Civil Rights movement but very...

Not saying its not true, but also unsure where they got this information from given that we don't release the results of our tests? The Daily Mail are usually about as reliable as all the other rags which aren't fit to even be used as toilet paper so we will see. Still over 2 weeks until season is m...

Not good HB I suspect it's really scary living in & around Cheltenham more so than other areas in the UK Doesnt seem too bad here comparative to say West Midlands or London. I only leave our area once a week to do the food shop. I not overly concerned by it on a personal level, moreso the damag...
