The great thing about dog friendly pubs is that you get to have a go on other people's dogs. I'm not a dog owner, but I do have a number of doggy friends that I like to meet in the pub.

Re: General Chat

had to say goodbye to my best mate on Tuesday (see avatar picture). He would have been 15 in September, he joined us at 2 years old, and he has been at our side every single day ever since, literally every day, some 4,500 days in total. So sorry to hear that you've lost your canine friend. Such a s...

Not sure it'll be your sort of thing... I was just in the right mood when I first heard it, and it's stuck.

Re: Happy Birthday Sara (58)

Is photography a hobby of yours? Given that you seem to have an appreciation for the beauty of the "ordinary," I'm guessing you'd have a good eye. My wife and I quite like taking pictures - nature photography in particular. Not really, only the occasional snapshot. Sometimes the spirit of...

I'm the same... seeing the universal in the particular. Today it was a few colourful rocks, and the way the water glistened on them, which kept me fascinated for an hour or so.

You'll have to let me know what you think of Dagon if you end up checking it out. After looking them over, I'll definitely be giving these a listen, Sara. Thanks so much for the recommendations. Love the premise of this most recent one you suggested too--they had me at Alan Moore and "From Hel...

Have a safe trip and enjoy your special day :) Didn't take any pictures today as I didn't bother taking the phone. Difficult to do justice to it anyway, as you say - it's the quality of lig...
