Re: 4 months to the General Election

Is it only 4 months away? The politicians should have mentioned it! Not being in Britain I can't tell if that remark was sarcastic, although I imagine it was. Be grateful for what you have, however. Here in the States campaigns are never-ending, and for our politicians party interests far outweigh ...

Without a doubt.

Although I'm tempted to vote for the assistant who ruled two Forest goals offside.

Re: Leeds starlet up for award alongside Ronaldo, Suarez, Ro

But one of the criteria is, "weighing more importance if the dive decided the outcome of an important game."

So, despite its obvious artistic brilliance, I think this keeps Adryan from winning. It's also why I voted for Robben.

Love the headline to this thread, by the way.

Re: Best Album Poll : Bad Company + The Beatles - VOTE NOW !

Beatles should really be broken up into three periods; early, middle, and late,

Beatles Second Album (US release only) is the best of the early, while Rubber Soul is the best of the middle, and Abbey Road is the best of the late, in my less-than-humble opinion.

Re: Leeds hit by transfer embargo

What's really sad about this is that the rule was meant to keep big clubs from spending their way to titles. In reality, though, the rule unfairly penalizes someone like Cellino, who has a rotten financial house to put in order. By limiting the definition of "fair play" to aggregate financ...

Re: Cellino to step down?

I guess Cellino has learned that discretion is the better part of valor. Might as well step away for a bit now, as it looks as though we're going to have to sit out the January transfer window. With all that's coming to light with the finances, and all the garbage he's had to swallow from the league...

Re: Going to see don revie's aces

Only got to see Revie's team on tape delay in the middle of the night. I had a little battery operated television with about a 6-inch (diagonal) screen that I would sneak into my bedroom at night and watch it while hiding under the covers. The picture would fade in and out, but I would get most all ...

Re: Anyone noticed.....

If you don't care about a particular topic, don't participate in the discussion. How hard is it not to say anything? Chelsea may run into trouble down the road as I think they're lacking a little in depth. They've used fewer players than any team in the league this year, and with FA Cup, UEFA...

Re: Fruity King and LUFC?

I'll bet the fans at away games will be having a great time with all the chant possibilities for "Fruity King" Leeds. A little more money to spend on a massive, hulking center back would be nice though. I don't think Per Mertesacker has any problems with people calling him names. Apart fro...

Re: MLS

Bet you regret starting this thread John No, not at all. Got an answer to my question. Abundegas: Both teams have looked a lot better than they did last night. As I said, in my estimation the best teams in MLS could play in the Championship, but nobody would threaten for a playoff spot. Not at all ...

MLS

Sitting home watching the MLS Cup championship game. Some observations...... MLS has, I think, reached a level where it is on par with Championship football, at least as far as the best teams are concerned. But I think this is about as far as the league can progress absent some major changes. Fan at...
