Re: Volunteers

So, a Kirkcaldy man, eh? My hometown is not far from there, Cowdenbeath, who had their usual drench season, now nestled firmly in the lower half of the aptly named Lowland league. When this season dies down I shall post a topic to discover members fav Scottish team, there are some fantastic names i...

Re: Volunteers

Suppose I’m the one for Scottish football, though what that entails is beyond my imagination right now. One thing I do promise though, there will be no mention of Celtic, or Hibernian. Rangers and Hearts, yes. I’m all for balance. C'mon Raith, my "home town" team ... Good season for them

Re: Norwich City v Leeds Utd Match Thread

Like your thoughts but wishful thinking that we won't start with Bamford (if fit) or Piroe. I think Byram would edge it over Firpo for me, if only for greater solidity when away from home. Bamford rated as doubtful which is basically odds on he won't play. Did consider Piroe instead of Gray or Kama...

Re: Steve Albini RIP

Couldn't find the main RIP thread, so please feel free to move this there but absolutely gutted to hear the master, Steve Albini has died of a heart attack today, aged 61. Engineer and producer of so many fantastic records and fronted two of my favourite bands - Big Black and Shellac. Shellac's new...

Unsure what that means, most of those threads are self sustaining bar competition or poll threads. How do you look after the music chat thread?

Re: Cricket 2023/2024

A marathon innings from Glamorgan captain Sam Northeast frustrated Yorkshire’s victory bid on the final day with a little help from the weather. Glamorgan were precariously placed on 372-7, 74 runs ahead with three wickets remaining when lightning interrupted play in the last session. Northeast bat...

Re: Loan Watch

Llorente and Aronson have something in common, they both lead the MOT MOTM stats through around 15 games start of both their first seasons here... Both were lauded on MOT at the time.... Llorente got injured and never really played as RCB much at all after that. Aaronson got bullied and fouled every...

Re: Loan Watch

Llorente is a far better centre half than Rodon and Kristensen is better than Gray/Roberts at right back. Just my opinion of course. Oh and Aaronson is the attacking midfielder we've all been crying out for. Now how do we convince them to give us one more season assuming we fail in the play offs ? ...

Re: Georginio Rutter-

Tough game for Joseph to make any meaningful contribution. The reality is - it does not matter how good your 9 happens to be if you cannot progress the ball up the pitch. I forgot Joseph was on the pitch watching the game. Ironically, he still made someone’s top 6 in the ratings. When Meslier had n...
