Re: The "Summer" Transfer Window 20/21 season
Probably an upgrade on Strike at the moment who's currently our second centre back I would think..As much as I like Pascal to be a very good player in a year or two There has to be 2 center backs before the start of the season. I see Strujik as a 2nd back up at CB, and that he can cover the DMC rol...

Re: Foreign Wonderkid Policy
Agreed. Bielsa has reportedly chosen 5 players in each target position ranging from ‘virtually impossible‘ to sign to very realistic: https://sportwitness.co.uk/argentina-marcelo-bielsas-demands-sign-new-contract-leeds/ I have much more trust in Bielsa’s choice of player than Orta’s. Of course, eve...

Re: Foreign Wonderkid Policy
waaay too risky - they turn out to be flops a lot more times than they actually come off maybe one would be worth the risk, but a summer full of players from random leagues and you get yourself another batch of grots, ekubans, de bocks, sackos, cibickis etc. you cant really compare the step up from...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tue 28th July) - Teenage sensation set for Elland Road
With Bielsa, we are a Premier League quality club by definition as we currently are. We will need very little to survive relegation next season. I say that because watching us play was the nearest thing to watching a Premier League team in this division all season. Our team is quality. I agree with...

Re: Foreign Wonderkid Policy
Having said that, I'm kind of delusional about the Foreign Wonderkid model. Years of playing Football Manager - sell all the senior players, buy all the wonderkids, build a dynasty - make it seem a little easier than reality.

Re: You First Leeds Game
11th Sep 1976 THFC 1 (C.Jones) LFC O Crowd 34725. Can't remember a thing about it. When Leeds got relegated - I was only 10 - I took on Villa and Spurs as my surrogate teams. It want my choice, my mum bought me shirts that were on sale. Villa won the Euro and Spurs were the FA Cup team with Ardiles...

Re: Foreign Wonderkid Policy
All have their advantages like you said Aging superstars: Zlatan is over the hill. Cavani would be great but it won't happen (someone will pay much higher wages than we can) Championship players: We should have Dan James already. The idea of signing the next James, Maddison, Maguire, Stones .... But...

Re: Player Profile : Ben White
Starter: Absolutely - would be a lock in and part of the future
Would pay £30 million max. I don't want us blowing the bank again like we did in the past
We should be looking for strong prospects overseas in the 10-20 million range. Quarta was a good player that's been talked about

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tue 28th July) - Teenage sensation set for Elland Road
Keep iproving the infrstructure of the youth set up and filling it with the best youngsters. That's the way forward, especially with FFP. For the same reason, I'm happy with sending out McAlmont, Gotts, Edmondson on loans with the hope they'll take the next step. Last years championship players will...

Re: Did lockdown benefit Leeds United?
The break probably hurt us more than anything. Promotion looked a certainty when the break happened. Then a couple of games after the restart, we'd drawn at home to Luton and Brentford were right on our tails. I think it was a neutral reset for everyone. But, I believe, if the break hadn't happened ...

Re: The "Summer" Transfer Window 20/21 season
Had a little read on Jonathan David myself. Its very impressive given his age, i imagine many of those bigger names were a similar age then and David is significantly better then all but Lukaku. He looks relly impressive from what I've seen so far. The drawback for me would be the fee - 23m. If you...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Mon 27th July) Leeds make formal approach for 30m striker
David looks like a really good player. He's not a striker, although he can fill in there. He's more of a No.10. I'd be happy with either him or Almada. They'd probably have to split with Pablo in the first season, although Pablo can switch between 10 and the wing. With Corberan going to Huddersfild,...

Here's an analysis/scout report on Jonathan David, for those wanting to know more https://totalfootballanalysis.com/player-analysis/jonathan-david-201920-scout-report-tactical-analysis-tactics Been reading a few reports this weekend and David looks really good. Almada looks good in same position fr...
