Re: January transfer rumours and squad discussion
No, in fact this is the only Leeds Utd forum I take part in. I just like to try to take a balanced view of things and try to see things from other people's views and why they are acting the way they are. Every owner has their own business plan whether it is Ridsdale, Bates, Cellino, AR so it is jus...

Re: January transfer rumours and squad discussion
The long term plan with Man City, and Chelsea, though is all about bringing youngsters through that are good enough to make the first team or if not good enough to sell for huge profits to sustain the first team. This then helps the club operate in a sensible financial way and probably actually mak...

Re: U23's play Crewe today
People are obsessed with winning at every age group on this country have a look at all the parents on the touchline ruining their 6 year old kid's fun. With the youth set-up, even at U23 level, I imagine it is presently part of a huge overhaul especially with the way they play and at this point it ...

Re: U23's play Crewe today
We don't win many, but I think that's because we're in the top division now. We didn't deserve to lose yesterday. Not much in it first half, but we dominated second half. Their keeper did a great job of keeping them in it.

Re: January transfer rumours and squad discussion
He seems to be a bit of a Michael Owen in his youth, last defender runs in behind etc. We could have had the player for £1m who has been setting him up all season, but we got Sacko :( Unfortunately Roofe has proven he isnt a consistent goalscoring threat and has taken 9 shots in his last few games ...

Re: January transfer rumours and squad discussion
Hugil and Marriott to expensive and no interest in Clayton apparently. While i kind of agree on Hugil certainly and dont particularly rate Clayton. If you pay peanuts, you get monkeys. You have to be willing to take calculated risks imo.Marriott comes, scores 10 goals, he is worth twice what we pai...

Re: U23's play Crewe today
Crewe have always had a very good youth system. It looks like it still is. But we have been getting shots. So there's entry of time to turn it round.1964white wrote:

U23's play Crewe today
The U23s are away to @crewealexfc today, with kick-off from 1:15pm. Tyler Denton returns to the side, whilst Jack Clarke starts

Looks like we're putting out a strong side for this one.

Re: Tomorrow's left and right back, and midfield conundrum
There is a very real possibility that we could start with Shaunie and Phillips vs Millwall. Lord help us. Unless Anita drops in with Phillips. Or is Viera available for that one? To be fair, Shaughnessy was looking better yesterday. Maybe the experience he's getting is doing him good, and helping h...

Re: Tomorrow's left and right back, and midfield conundrum
Suspect we will revert to type. O'Kane in midfield with Phillips and Anita to right back. But I'd love TC to try something slightly changed. Dallas . . Jansson . . Coops . .Bera. . . . . . . . . . . . . . Anita . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Klich . . . . . . . Phillips . . . Ali . . . . . . ....

Re: Tomorrow's left and right back, and midfield conundrum
He's still been giving us a tremendous work-rate, but his crosses into the box have been poor lately. Maybe his crossing would improve again for being on the other side too.gessa wrote:
Good shout. Not been performing too well attacking wise.

Re: Tomorrow's left and right back, and midfield conundrum
Given that Alioski plays left wing-back for his country, should he be considered for the left-back spot?

Tomorrow's left and right back, and midfield conundrum
Given that Ayling is injured, and Anita has been inconsistent at left-back, and with De Bock not available tomorrow, will Berardi have to play LB again, will Alioski or Anita cover? Or could I get my wish, and Tyler Denton get a start at LB, with Berardi at RB? What do you guys and gals think? Could...

Re: January transfer rumours and squad discussion
Caulker worth a loan. Very good player. A move away from London could be the making of him. Gets him away from problem places and people.

Re: The New Dr Who
My favourite was Matt Smith. Good fun as well as good storyline.
Eccleston and Tennant both very good.
I liked Capaldi as the Doctor. Always seemed like he was on the verge of a mental breakdown. But not so kern on the stories.

Bristol Post are saying #LUFC have moved closer to to BCFC target Mimoun Mahi from Dutch club Groningen. The player is a right sided attacker who is clinical in front of goal. He has a release clause of £2m
