Re: 2019/20 Transfer Rumours & Discussion Thread

YEP reporting Bournemouth are keen on Phillips. I imagine a few clubs will test our resolve with some of our key players.

Re: An example of good sportsmanship

The reaction from Hewitt was priceless. Huge respect for Sock, great to see that sort of honesty. The Hopman Cup is a great format and it's always brilliant to watch. As for Hewitt, hopefully his swansong results in a few wins. He's been enormous to Australian tennis over the journey and his passion...

Remember when....

As an Aussie, my most enjoyable Leeds match. A much weakened side that day if I remember correctly. Jacob Burns started and Danny Hay came on for Jonathan Woodgate early.

Olly Dacourt with some of passes was sublime.

Re: summer of 2013 - transfer rumour thread

So is it off to the loan market we go? Surely Tottenham have a surplus of players now with all of their new signings.

Byram returns

Byram would also give us a decent option as a winger. Remember Bale was a left back for the first few years of his professional career.

No pressure on the lad, just follow in Bale's footsteps

Re: summer of 2013 - transfer rumour thread

I read that we were interested in Gabriel Torje from Udinese. 23 winger who spent last season on loan at Granada in La Liga.

Anybody know anything about this lad? If memory serves me, he used to go alright in Football Manager. Would he solve our width issues?

2013 Cricket Season

I'd imagine the tape would only be on the outside. The vast majority of caught behinds would be the outside edge. Similarly, the majority of edges in LBW shouts would be from the inside edge.

Re: summer of 2013 - transfer rumour thread

33,000+ opening day crowd certainly wouldn't have done the club any harm when it comes to encouraging the board to invest. We hear of a sustainable financial model and not overstretching our financial capacity. It's whole lot easier to justify on field investment when the average home attendances ar...

Star man for the season

Haven't seen any of the pre-season but Poleon seems to have always presented a danger (according to reports at least). Provided something late last season, would be great to see another player from the youth ranks to step up.

2013 Cricket Season

Young (19!) debutante Agar currently on 67 not out at number 11. Score not looking so respectable now! If he keeps going at this rate he'll break the record for a number 11 (95 according to the Beeb). And broken the record for highest score from a number 11 on debut as well as the highest score fro...

Kennaugh and Porte were fantastic to set the win up for Froome who then blew everyone away. And gee, how impressive was Quintana on the first climb.

Brilliant result for Gerrans and Orica-GreenEdge, out sprinting Sagan is no mean feat. First of hopefully many stage wins for the Aussie team at the Tour. Also, great ride by Simon Clarke who's from my neck of the woods, almost hung on to claim the polka dot.

Tour De France

Another 3 weeks of late nights in Oz. Always enjoyable watching the bigs stages and seeing the French countryside. Froome will be tough to beat for the GC, but hopefully the Aussies (Porte and Evans) can be thereabouts as well. I'm also looking forward seeing Orica-GreenEdge being first over the lin...

That unmistakable hue of optimism is positively refreshing Twiggster. I guess that’s where we are as Leeds supporters.

Is this a regular thing that Leeds have coordinated over the years, or a new initiative?

How many 'home truths' will actually be addressed in a forum such as this?

Some goodies there mate  don't like The Music album  I actually enjoyed that album, mind you, it’s been a few years since I’ve listened to it. Good reason to dust it off and pop it in the CD player. Here’s my selection from today. Shihad – One Will Hear The Other (Beautiful Machine) Los...

Great backstory Leedsmad. I'm sure many Leeds supporters from Oz would sight their allegiance due to Harry. But to have grown up with him must have been exciting.

Setanta are showing it on tv in OZ. Save a lot of messing about with HDMI cables, if you can see it on telly. Problem is it's an extra $16 a month on top my regular cable bill to watch maybe a couple of matches a month as I don't think I'd watch anything else on Setanta. We've got 6 computers...
